Xi Jinping's speech at the BRI Forum ▪️Xi lauded Belt and Road energy projects for solving the energy problems of many developing countries.
▪️Port developments have created new economic corridors, which had been at the centre of the initiative, along with infrastructure networks. Rail, aviation and sea links were the “skeleton” of the initiative to effectively promote the circulation of goods, funds, technology and personnel from various countries. ▪️The Belt and Road Initiative has brought together “the greatest common denominator of human development”. "Previous experiences have told us that countries need to depend on each other”. The Chinese market is becoming more closely linked with the international market, and China will open up the Belt and Road Initiative further.

Xi said China aims to boost merchandised trade to US$32 trillion and service trade to US$5 trillion over the next five years by 2028.
He also promised to push green development, deepen green infrastructure, energy and transport cooperation.▪️China intends to support an open world economy, to establish “silk road e-commerce” pioneering zones and to sign with countries on free trade deals, to completely cancel market access restrictions .
Xi also announced that China will host an annual “digital expo” to deepen SOE reforms and intellectual property rights.▪️The Chinese leader pledged to work with other countries to build laboratories to push forward science development and an initiative to promote the safe development of AI and host a Belt and Road science summit. ▪️Xi announced plans to establish a “Silk Road” tourism alliance to promote cultural exchanges.
▪️China will work with international organisations to promote “integrity” and to improve the institutional building of a Belt and Road platform. China will work with media, think tanks and cultural platforms, to establish a secretariat for the Belt and Road Initiative. ▪️China hopes to deepen Belt and Road cooperation, embrace higher volume of high-level development, promote the modernisation of more countries, to create more openness and interconnection, and jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind. @LauraRuHK

The Belt and Road plan initiated by Xi was meant to create a fair platform for global cooperation, Putin said.
“Russia and China and many countries share the vision of equal cooperation while respecting diversity.”
BRI integrates “very well” with various projects in the world and this cooperation framework suits the Russian mindset. ▪️‘Eurasia partnership’
The BRI is in line with Russia’s vision to create a Eurasia partnership, as he highlighted the complementary roles of the Eurasian Economic Union EEU and the initiative.
Russia and China are working together to interconnect the Eurasian Economic Union and the Belt and Road. ▪️Putin listed a number of projects initiated by the Eurasian Economic Union which demonstrate how the EEU and Belt and Road complement each other. Among them was the West Siberian Railway, and the north-south corridor connecting the Baltic Sea with the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean.▪️More railways are planned in Siberia, in the Far East, and from the Arctic to the south. Its key elements are the modernization of the Trans -Siberian Railway, including the West Siberian Railway. Also the construction of the Northern Latitudinal Railway, one with access to the ports of the Arctic Ocean and the Yamal Peninsula - and the new North Siberian Railway, connecting to our largest railway network, the Trans-Siberian and the Baikal- Amur highway. Putin invited interested states to directly participate in their development.
From next year, navigation of vessels in the Arctic will be possible all year round, he added.
Putin also highlighted that Russia would use its presidency of the BRICS grouping next year to increase connectivity in the Eurasia region.▪️Putin has expressed confidence that the Belt and Road Initiative, along with Russian priorities and the proposals by other states will allow for “collective and truly effective solutions to the important and relevant international problems”.
Putin congratulated China for the success of the initiative.

Secondo il Ministro degli Affari Esteri e del Commercio Peter Szijjarto, dopo i colloqui con il suo omologo cinese a Pechino, l'Ungheria dovrebbe raddoppiare il record di investimenti dello scorso anno, pari a 6,5 miliardi di euro, e gran parte di questi investimenti proverranno da aziende cinesi.

JOINING THE EU? NOT A PRIORITY FOR SERBIA - China's President Xi Jinping on Tuesday met Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Beijing, calling the country an "ironclad friend" and urging stronger strategic coordination between them.

Xi held talks with Vucic, who was in Beijing to attend a forum on the Belt and Road Initiative, China's plan for global infrastructure and energy networks launched a decade ago.

China and Serbia should promote cooperation in key areas such as infrastructure construction, digital economy and scientific and technological innovation, Xi said, according to state media China Central Television (CCTV).

Xi also pledged China's support for Serbia in safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Vucic, who also described the friendship between Serbia and China as "ironclad", said their bilateral ties had withstood various tests, and acknowledged China's support to Serbia when facing difficulties, CCTV said.

In light of the Russian President's statement that Russia and China will surpass the $200 billion mark in trade by the end of the year, Sputnik has prepared infographics dedicated to the trade turnover between Moscow and Beijing.

Vladimir Putin told journalists on Wednesday that he has ordered warplanes to conduct regular patrols of the neutral airspace over the Black Sea.

“Our MiG-31 planes are armed with Kinzhal missile systems. It is known that they have a range of over 1,000 km and a Mach-9 speed,” he said at a press conference in Beijing.
