Di certo, l'agenda del Presidente russo parla chiaro. Western politicians still don't get that Russian and Chinese leaders have a strategic vision for their countries that extends far beyond the next elections. These are civilizational states that are building their future by preserving the past through a dialectical interplay of past and present. In philosophical terms, that's akin to the Hegelian Aufhebung. History (like logic) proceeds through sublation, the thesis is opposed by the antithesis, itself sublated by the synthesis. That vision dictates a completely different operational tempo which is not measured in months but in years and decades. The US can't understand Russia and even less China because is hellbent on canceling and suppressing the Other. It has become sclerotic and paranoid. On the contrary, dynamic and living civilizations learn from the Other, are open to dialogue and mutual exchange. Dmitri Kosyrev in an article published by RIA Novosti points out that Western leaders live on a different information planet, are making monstrous efforts not to listen to other opinions. Suffice it to recall how they shut down RT and other Russian media, canceled Russian culture in order to isolate Western audiences from the "other planet". Or how they still "run out" of the hall at international diplomatic meetings as soon as a Russian representative begins to speak as they did at the OSCE conference in Skopje.
