📍 Qatar | 3–6-Month Project Assignment
We are seeking a qualified Senior Accounting Specialist for a short-term project in Qatar, focused on accounting accuracy, financial controls, and the correct application of accounting requirements within an ERP environment.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, plus at least one recognised professional qualification: CPA, ACCA, CA, or CMA.
• Proven accounting experience in Qatar and practical familiarity with applicable financial policies and reporting requirements.
• Hands-on ERP accounting experience covering chart of accounts, financial dimensions, posting rules, reconciliations, and financial reporting. General system exposure alone is not sufficient.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, budgeting, accounts payable and receivable, cash and bank accounting, fixed assets, and month-end closing.
• Practical experience with approval workflows, internal controls, and segregation of duties.
• Experience validating opening balances, account mappings, and data-migration reconciliations.
• Ability to develop accounting test scenarios, verify system-generated entries, investigate discrepancies, and follow issues through to resolution.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills in Arabic and English.
• Ability to independently prepare accurate, complete accounting review reports and supporting documentation with minimal supervision.
• Availability to work in Qatar for a 3–6-month assignment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review accounting processes and workflows against financial policies and approval authorities.
• Validate account classifications, posting logic, balances, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Perform accounting-focused testing and document discrepancies and required corrections.
• Coordinate with finance teams and the ERP provider to clarify and resolve accounting issues.
• Prepare accounting review reports and monitor transaction accuracy after system go-live.

Experience with public-sector, government-funded, or multi-entity organisations is an advantage.
