Minter Push Hackathon: Sharing
The purpose of the hackathon’s stage two is the development of the sharing concept—i.e., the ultimate solution to the usability problem for both distributor and receiver. As there are no strict guidelines to follow, the team will evaluate your original ideas and the realization of those ideas.
Some you may borrow from the list below:
– Instant distribution. In one tap/click/image, with no unnecessary complications
– Maximum reach. Once you’ve performed the action, you are broadcasting to thousands of people at once
– Integration with common systems—e.g., e-mail and SMS
– Automatization. Someone gets a link as a result of some action
– Conditions. The user has to fill out a form, answer the questions, confirm something
– Dynamics. The link changes as time passes—for example, throughout a live stream—and expires afterward
– Forwarding. The wallet can be moved to a new link and forwarded to someone
Metadata should be given special consideration as all links and QR codes must look pretty, proper titles and descriptions included. The user has to understand in advance where the link will take them.
Don’t forget to place a CTA (call-to-action) to create a transfer as it may potentially boost the virality of your project, but don’t be annoying.
You can also implement targeted sharing, meaning when someone opens a wallet via your link, the most important action is prioritized—e.g., an offer to make in-game purchases. This would prove convenient for those who struck partnerships, for example, Time Loop can post wallets promoting 1001 and vice versa.
With QRs, there is scope for imagination. The most simple case might be something like “Scan this code and claim USD 10.”
It’s best to keep links as short as possible, 4–6 characters give over 100 billion combinations.
The more advanced of you may enable viewing link stats, it’s when you add a “+” at the end of the URL and see its analytics: date of creation, number of clicks, locations, languages, devices, etc. If you’ve ever used bit.ly, you get the idea.
The prizes are as follows:
1st place—200К
2nd place (two)—100К each
3rd place (six)—50К each
Total: 9 winners, 700К BIP to be awarded.
The deadline is Saturday evening. On Sunday, the team will make decisions. Early submissions will have greater chances—we are humans as well, and we often need some time to figure out how everything works, try out all the features, etc.
If you got any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with @seo2z.
The application form is available at www.minter.link/pushhackathon.
We may miss something at first, so please feel free to describe in detail what exactly you have done.

Minter Push Hackathon: Customization
Stage three is all about customizing everything you did in the past two.
First and foremost, challengers need to polish their code, publish it on GitHub, and release decent documentation (preferably in English) so that other members of the community could build from there. These teams will win our immediate attention.
Second, services must be provided as white label offerings so that anyone could issue their own customized push using your server.
Third, a flexible API is a must as it will give advanced users freedom in making skins or implementing the product in bots, apps, etc.
As you can see, we don’t go deep into details here. The main idea is that other teams start using your advancements, embedding them into their projects.
The deadline is Saturday evening (February 15), and this time, it’s final. Winners will be announced Sunday.
Prizes:
1st place: 200K
Two 2nd places: 100K each
Four 3rd places: 50K each
BONUS: on February 17, the fourth stage of MinterPush will start. At this point, we will not reveal the objectives but what we can share is that you will have 10 days, and the prize pool will be increased.
P.S. There will be stage five as well.

Minter Push Hackathon: Merchants
Stage four is about merchants, or, more precisely, the ability to exchange received coins for goods and services in a simple, fast, and easy-to-understand way.
The term “merchants” will become key to us this year, just as key as “liquidity providers.” The network must be able to have money—in the broad sense of the word—deposited and withdrawn.
The task for the teams is to add support for as many interesting and, preferably, unique options for exchanging coins for goods and services as possible. Prioritize common sense—i.e., the options we couldn’t live our everyday lives without. Some examples may include: mobile connection, taxi/car sharing, food, entertainment (movies, consoles such as Xbox or PlayStation, App Store/Play Market), beauty services, etc.
Payment systems, electronic money, and bank cards are not merchants but liquidity providers.
Try to put yourself in the user’s shoes. What will they get right away, and not in an hour or the next day? Stick to the idea of instant economics—choose -> press/tap -> receive.
Another hint is to focus on something global, something that we all generally use quite often—for example, Steam gift cards or a single system for topping up mobile account balances (see BitRefill. They have an API, by the way).
The goal is to integrate a merchant in an engaging way, not to become one. Feel free to team up with those who have already made some progress in that. It is important that users that receive your push understand what they can do with it—or, in other words, realize its value. If you create a preset for gamers, make sure the first thing they see is, “You can spend this money on Steam.”
This stage will last until Friday evening (February 28). The winner will be announced on Saturday, February 29. The deadline is final & won’t change.
Prizes:
🥇st place: 400 000 BIP
🥈nd place: 200 000 BIP
🥉rd place: 100 000 BIP
Another four incentive prizes (50 000 BIP each) will be awarded as well.

All teams become stronger with each stage. That being said, let’s call it a day. Get rest before the next stage and give it your best.

Minter Push Hackathon: Speed
The fifth—and in this race, last—lap of the push hackathon sounds like this:
Design the fastest ready-made Push product, i.e., a transfer that the receiver can spend on a digital good or service.
If you think that this is going to be too easy, think again. After a month of work, we must completely reassemble our Formula 1 cars, from the deposit of funds to delivery of goods or services.
Come up with a new branch of your solution, cut off what’s unnecessary, take a stopwatch, and go. We will accept vertical videos (we all live in a mobile era after all) posted on YouTube under the tag #MinterPush as applications. The video has to show one person sending money to the other (they can even be in the same room), and that money then spent with the proof of receipt of a good or service.
If you have questions about KYC/AML practices, they are the same as if you were handing cash to someone you know. You see the person, you know them, KYC/AML passed. If you are airdropping money to people you don’t know at all, of course, that is another issue. Anyway, most of the tasks will be completed once #MinterID is introduced.
Winners and Prizes
The team to present the fastest and most interesting case gets 300,000 BIP. The second place will be awarded 200,000 BIP, and third, 100,000 BIP. Three “snails” will get 50,000 BIP each.
Please note that it is not enough to create a skeleton where everything is lightning-fast yet non-native. Those will not even qualify as applications. What we are talking about here is the demonstration of solutions on par with WhatsApp or Apple Pay and what they did for the world, namely accelerated the process that had previously been taking a lot more time, preserving UX for the mass user.
We want you to conquer the global community with these videos, the community that hasn’t yet learned to make money transfers or spends hours of waiting and piles of forms in the process. Who cares about the achievements of popular blockchains if they can’t be used in real life? In 10 years, no one has come even close to our pushes. Now is the time for your solutions to help grannies outspeed Flash.
Will we manage to pack it all—send, receive & spend—into one minute?
Waiting for you at the finish line on March 8. The results will be announced on March 9.
Step on the gas!

#MinterPush Hackathon Stage Five: Speed. Results
🥇st place for speed and clarity: https://yyy.cash (300,000 BIP)
🥈nd place for creativity and quality of production: https://reef.mn (200,000 BIP)
🥉rd place: the rest (100,000 BIP each)
We had a long discussion, and to be honest, it was a much harder choice than the last time. And no, we are not flattering anyone or trying to commend our community. It’s a simple reality: all participants have been working on their products, constantly improving them.
The teams are notable: 5s.gift for an example with tipping the waitress; bip.plus for a cool explainer; tap.mn for an easy-to-understand and easy-to-use product; push.gifts for concreteness. What we’re talking about now are videos. The functionality is much more complex, and each team is strong in its own area.
But YYY blew everyone away with their drive, and REEF, with the atmosphere.
In a month and a half, the team awarded a total of 4,150K BIP (>$100K) and 77 #POPE, including this stage and the quick one with the address bar. And it was worth it because the products we got are on a whole new level.
Today, we celebrate as we learned to make transfers in one minute or less, and tomorrow, back to the battleground: we must introduce them into loyalty systems for millions of people around the world.
Below you can find the applications sorted by the project’s name:
5s.gift: youtu.be/FuXPiJUmyBE
bip.plus: youtu.be/6b4LMQVvdX4
push.gifts: youtu.be/Lw6Tfhj3g8Q

tap.mn: youtu.be/caOoQNSuVNo
yyy.cash: youtu.be/a-2OE6TZw24 | youtu.be/unWc4-D82wQ
P.S. By the way, try @yyycashbot if you haven’t yet. After depositing your BIP, simply write "@yyycashbot 100" (without quotation marks) in any group or private chat. The person will immediately get the link to the wallet with the amount you entered (replace "100" in the example above with the value you need).
We also take this opportunity to thank our iOS developer Alex who created monke.io and was first to come up with sending money using links via monke.me. He got the idea, you developed it, and now we’ll bring it to perfection!

#MinterPush 0.2: Rewards Hackathon. Subscriptions
You have until April 15 to make a perfect system of rewards for subscription/registration. The user subscribes via Telegram bot or YouTube channel, on the website via e-mail or in the app via mobile number, and gets #MinterPush with the coin they can spend inside the project, exchange, transfer, and so on.
Scenarios mentioned above are just examples, and everyone is welcome to pick their niche. Still, the logic is simple: the user subscribes/signs up and receives a reward from the project. Channels, bots, groups, sites, apps—whichever you like. It goes without saying that protection against cheaters, fake users, and hackers is a must.
As you understand, anyone can already implement this solution simply by connecting one of the existing push services as a rewards container. So we are likely to see many new teams in this hackathon. Good statistics, visually attractive and understandable, would be a plus.
Products must be easy to use, to the point that grannies could add and set them up on their YouTube channels about baking. It’d be even cooler if someone managed to create a full product for organizers: sign up, choose coin settings and reward conditions, deposit BIP for creation and reserves, integrate into the environment where it’s going to be used, and . . . that’s it. You’re all set, and the only thing left is tracking analytics.
Prizes:
1st place: 300,000 BIP + 100,000 NUT
2nd place: 200,000 BIP + 50,000 NUT
3rd place: 100,000 BIP
We will also award another three incentive prizes of 50,000 BIP each.
Total worth: almost 1 million BIP!
These numbers may be increased.
If solutions are similar, the team will prioritize those that cover additional areas of application. So at this stage, it’s important for us to get cool solutions for each of the formats—e-mail, mobile, bots, Telegram & YouTube channels, whatever you may think of.
Don’t lose your focus on the segment that really matters. First, we need to become leaders in rewards across social media, sites & apps, and only then, in “QR codes on cafe receipts.”
You can submit your application here: https://forms.gle/CnNgc6ZwotsiVKDeA. Provide a description, fully working product, use case(s), and link to code on GitHub.
Push Standardization
In this hackathon and the ones to come, we consider push projects with the following features:
The push must be receiving and managing any Minter network-based currency, not only BIP.
The user—both sender and receiver—can view a seed phrase on any of the screens. These funds are theirs, and they must be able to manage them beyond the push as well.
The creator should be able to skip all settings and go to the push page with top-up and spending options right away. If you use pushes often and not for demo only, then the majority of features are not necessary. A big Forward button will be useful to everyone if we want mass cases.
The address of the push must be readily available at the very first step of its creation. It’d be ideal if when you go to the homepage, the URL is already generated there so that nothing gets lost on the way.
If you offer password protection, there should also be a Confirm Password field so that the person doesn’t lose money both for themselves and the receiver because of a typo.
To sum up: multi-currencies, seeds, skipping, instant address, password confirmation.
Have a nice time working, everyone!

#MinterPush 0.2—Rewards Hackathon: Subscriptions. Results
🥇st place (300K BIP): UNU.push
This service allows you to quickly and easily set different tasks for popular platforms (Telegram, VK, Twitch, YouTube, Vimeo). Plus, users don’t need to make any integrations.
🥈nd place (200K BIP): Minter YYY Cashback
A plugin for the most widely used CMS, WordPress. With it, you can reward your customers and subscribers as well as integrate with YYY and WooCommerce.
An interesting option for the eCommerce segment. We suggest adding support for a wider range of CMS and eCommerce platforms.
🥉rd place (100K BIP): YYY
A browser extension: once the user’s installed it, they can continue surfing YouTube channels, Twitch streams, websites, and search engines they’re used to while receiving rewards for various actions. On the reward distributor’s side, there’s an admin panel with campaign settings and analytics.
🏅 (50K BIP): TapForms
A tool for creating forms (an alternative to Google Forms and Typeform) with the ability to use pushes to reward users for filling them out. It’s a good choice for surveys, reviews, questionnaires, feedback submissions, and other applications. The product comes with strong protection against cheating (tracking of IP and Fingerprint of a browser/device).
🏅 (50K BIP): Dice Time
A bot-powered loyalty system for Telegram chats. After you add it, the bot starts responding to certain commands sent to the chat, for example, "dice time" (the bot makes a throw for that user and rewards them if the resulting number is >1). There’s also a reputation system (newcomers get less in rewards than active old-timers), top-up with custom coins, limits, time intervals for games, and other settings.
🏅 (50K BIP): BIP+
Lets you set up reward campaigns through wallet’s business profile. At this stage, rewards are available for joining a channel/group on Telegram (API, CRM, YouTube, etc. are in progress). Campaign creators can track stats, top up the balance, and edit the campaign itself.
Winners to receive NUT will be selected by a public vote on minterscan.net. Please wait for the announcement.
