THE EXPENDITURE OF A WOMAN AND HER CHILD, WHOSE HUSBAND IS AWAY FROM HER.
Narrated Abu Hurayrah may Allāh be Pleased with him:
The Prophet ﷺ said, "If the wife gives of her husband's property (something in Charity) Without his Permission, he will get Half the Reward."
Sahih al-Bukhari 5360
NOTE 📝
1. Imam al-Bukhari collected this hadith under the chapter heading "The expenditure of a woman and her child, whose husband is Away from her. Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan (may Allah Preserve him) explained: If a woman gives Charity from her husband’s wealth, and he does Not object to it, and she knows this about him, then there is No problem. However, if the husband prevents her from doing so, then it is Not Permissible. -(Al-Muntaqa, Salih al-Fawzan).
2. In Fatawa al-Lajnah al-Da’imah, it is stated: The basic rule is that a woman is Not Allowed to give Charity from her husband’s wealth Without his Permission, Except in Small Matters that are customary, such as giving a Little to neighbors or beggars in a way that does Not Harm the husband. In such cases, the Reward is shared between them, based on the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: “If a woman spends from the food of her house Without causing Harm, she will have her Reward for what she spent, and her husband will have his Reward for what he earned, and the storekeeper will have a similar Reward. None of them will have their Reward reduced in the least.” - (Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim).
3. The hadith highlights several Lessons; it shows that a woman may give Charity from her husband’s household with his Permission, whether explicit or implied by custom. It encourages women to give Charity from the food of their homes if the husband does Not Object, and also allows servants to give Charity from their master’s wealth under the same conditions. It reminds men to Permit their families to give to the poor and needy, as they too share in the Reward. Ultimately, whoever contributes to an act of Obedience shares in its Reward.

Make we talk some sense into the would-be second, third and fourth wives.
.................
If the man that wants to marry you is senseless, shouldn't you be sensible? When he acts emotionally, should you not react rationally? If he has no respect for his wife, shouldn't you respect your fellow woman the way you would have loved to be respected?
Kindly manage the tone of this message. That is what insensitive, selfish creatures deserve.
Let me remind you who a "would-be wife" is. It simply means that you are an ordinary woman to him since you have not been rightfully married by him. That is why you are called a would-be wife or a wife-to-be. This implies that the woman at home is the original while you are yet to be confirmed legit. The man may unceremoniously ask you to go away if he so wishes and heaven will not fall. No 'iddah for you except heartbreak, unlike the legal wife who has an untempered right to waiting period.
If the man, in his wrong senses, frequently calls you at night when you know he will apparently be with his legitimate wife, shouldn't you use your own right senses to call him to order? If the Shaytān in him pushes him to chat you promiscuously, shouldn't you seek refuge with Allāh and get his brain back to factory setting? You have never cautioned him because you also enjoy the trash. And that's how you end up opening up your thighs for cheap entry into your concealed world. That is if you're not guilty already. That is how some of you carry disgraceful "belle" that makes you rush into 'aqdun-nikāh or abortion.
A woman does not enter a relationship with her heart (emotion) alone; she does so with her head (gumption) too. And my anecdotal observation as a professional marital counsellor has shown that second wives do worse than the first when their husbands decide to marry a third. They fight tooth and nail to prevent their husbands from bringing in another woman. Selfishness! Injustice!
As a matter of fact, it is enough a red-flag if a man disrespects his extant wife to honour you, the probable incoming. That's a signal that women are nothing to him, and that he would do you worse when you become his wife.

SPREADING BEDROOM SECRETS
Islam strictly forbids a husband or wife from exposing the private matters that occur between them in the bedroom. Marital intimacy is a private trust between spouses, and revealing intimate details to others is a serious violation of that trust.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ warned:
One of the most wicked people before Allah on the Day of Resurrection is the man who is intimate with his wife and she is intimate with him, and then he divulges her secrets.
Sahih Muslim, no. 1437
The Prophet ﷺ also described the seriousness of this matter by mentioning the person who reveals the private affairs of his spouse after they have been alone together. This demonstrates that the prohibition is not merely about avoiding embarrassing conversation; it concerns betraying a trust that Allah has placed between husband and wife.
Allah says:
Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due.
Qur’an 4:58
A spouse should therefore protect the privacy, dignity, weaknesses, and intimate affairs of their husband or wife. This includes avoiding discussions about sexual details, private physical matters, bedroom conversations, or anything else that the other spouse would reasonably expect to remain confidential.
The Prophet ﷺ also said:
The gatherings are to be treated as trusts.
Sunan Abi Dawud 4869; graded authentic by Shaykh al-Albani
This principle applies even more strongly to the private relationship between husband and wife. A person should not use private marital information as entertainment, gossip, a way to gain sympathy, or a means of humiliating their spouse.
There are circumstances in which a person may need to disclose private marital information for a legitimate Islamic purpose, such as seeking necessary advice, obtaining a ruling from a trustworthy scholar, addressing abuse, or seeking appropriate professional help. Even then, only the information necessary for that legitimate purpose should be disclosed, and the person's privacy should be protected as much as possible.
The believer should remember that what happens in the privacy of marriage is an amanah. Being entrusted with someone's vulnerability is not permission to expose it.
A husband should protect his wife's honor, and a wife should protect her husband's honor. Both should fear Allah concerning the secrets entrusted to them.
May Allah protect our marriages from betrayal, gossip, humiliation, and the exposure of private affairs, and make husbands and wives trustworthy protectors of one another's dignity and honor. Ameen 🤲🏾

Marriage has become so difficult nowadays and Zina has become so easy. Why is that?
Usually when someone wants to get married they get obsessed with the day, the dress, the venue, the food, the cards, the gifts, the honeymoon, the guest list. In our Prophet's (peace be upon him) era, marriage was finalised and conducted in a few days with little fuss.
Because of these material factors some people are simply not getting married due to costs and expectations.
Nowadays if someone has a small wedding in the Masjid people start talking.
May Allah give us the common sense and humility to only please Him. Join us to say Ameen and let's put less pressure on kids who want to get married for the right reasons, i.e. complete half their deen and not to put on a show which only lasts for a few hours. Ameen!

Indeed, a woman will dispute with her husband on the Day of Judgment before Allah, saying:
‘He did not discipline me, nor did he teach me anything. He only used to bring me bread from the market.’
[تفسير السمعاني ٥-٤٧٥]
So understand, O husband...
You are not only responsible for feeding your wife with food, but also for nourishing her with Īmān and tarbiya.
Just as you strive to provide for her body, you must also strive to provide for her soul.
Teaching begins at al-bayt, and the family is the first madrasa.
So, O husband!
If you want your family to be a source of comfort in this dunyā, and a means of najāt in the ākhirah — then teach them, guide them, and be a living example of ʿilm and ʿamal.
Therefore, it is upon you to seek ʿilm nāfiʿ (beneficial knowledge), act upon it, and then pass it on to your family — for a home without knowledge is a home without light.

Nowadays, men are marrying the body and women are marrying the pocket.
That's why nobody is happy in marriages nowadays.
True marraige is built on character and personal relationship with Allāh.
Wallahi, these brothers and sisters aren’t thinking long term.
1. If you are marrying for her body, you do realise her body is going to change after pregnancy and
2. If you marry for his pocket, what if he goes broke or something happens to his financial situation. That’s why her and his akhlaq and relationship with Allah matter a lot 100%.

Women, don’t assume your husband is financially comfortable just because he doesn’t complain.
Some men will sit quietly at dinner while calculating how they are going to handle the rent, school fees, debt, business expenses and family responsibilities.
He may not tell you because he doesn’t want to worry you.
That doesn’t mean he doesn’t need support.
Sometimes the man providing for everyone is the person who really needs help. He might be running on fumes just to make sure the family is fine.

Thursday | Marriage Matters
When Communication Becomes a Battlefield
Marriage is not destroyed only by betrayal or major disagreements. Sometimes, it is slowly weakened by something that appears much smaller: the way two people communicate with each other.
A disagreement begins, and suddenly the goal is no longer to understand—it is to win. Voices become louder. Words become sharper. Old mistakes are brought back into the conversation.
Sarcasm replaces kindness.
One spouse withdraws while the other pursues. And before long, the original issue has been forgotten, but both hearts have been wounded.
Dear husband and wife, you are not opponents.
You may disagree, but you are still on the same team. Allah سبحانه وتعالى says: “And speak to people good words.”— Qur’an 2:83
If good speech is commanded toward people generally, how much more deserving of it is the person with whom you share your home, your struggles, your children, your vulnerabilities, and your life?
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The strong man is not the one who can wrestle; rather, the strong man is the one who controls himself when he is angry.” — Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim
Strength in marriage is not demonstrated by having the last word. Sometimes, strength is saying, “I need a moment before I say something I will regret.” Sometimes, strength is lowering your voice when you have every reason to raise it.
Sometimes, strength is apologizing even when you believe your spouse was also wrong. And sometimes, strength is choosing not to mention a painful mistake from ten years ago simply because you know exactly where it will hurt.
Marriage requires two people who understand that winning an argument can sometimes mean losing something far more valuable—the tenderness between two hearts. So, before you respond, pause. Ask yourself: Am I trying to solve this, or am I trying to hurt my spouse? Am I speaking because I want to be understood, or because I want to make them feel what I am feeling?
Will these words bring us closer to Allah and to one another, or will they leave another scar?
Not every disagreement needs to become a battle.
Some things need discussion.
Some things need patience.
Some things need forgiveness.
And some things simply need to be left alone.
May Allah place sakīnah, mawaddah, and raḥmah in our marriages, soften our tongues and hearts, and teach us to disagree without destroying the love Allah entrusted to us. A peaceful marriage is not one without disagreements. It is one where two people learn how to disagree without becoming enemies.

Respect your breadwinners.
They have the choice to prioritize themselves, but they sacrifice their own needs and wants to ensure the bills are paid, and the family has everything they need.
They carry the weight of financial responsibility, often putting their own needs and wants on hold for the sake of the household. The least we can do is to make their load lighter—help out with things at home, show appreciation, and give them the respect they deserve.
A small act of kindness goes a long way in acknowledging their hard work and dedication. Don’t take them for granted.

A woman will destroy her family for her happiness, and a man will destroy his happiness for his family.
You can do everything right, provide, stay loyal, be present, build the house, raise the kids, and still lose her. A woman is constantly told by her friends that she can do better. She deserves more.
Then one day, the arguments start appearing out of nowhere. It's about dishes, socks. You watched a game after working twelve hours, and she gets mad at you.
Emotionally, she already left months ago. A woman's love is always conditional, and when her emotions change, a man will lose his family without cheating, without even abandoning them, without even knowing that the funeral already happened.

Emotionally, she already left months ago. A woman's love is always conditional, and when her emotions change, a man will lose his family without cheating, without even abandoning them, without even knowing that the funeral already happened.

Beneficial Advice For Women Who Are Already Married and To Those About To Be Married.
Following is an advice to every Muslim woman that contains matters to avoid in order to have a good marriage.
1 — Avoid angering your husband. The Prophet PBUH mentioned that among the three that Allah does not accept their prayer are, “A wife who goes to sleep while her husband is angry with her.” [At-Tirmithi].
2 — Avoid harming your husband in any way, “If a woman harms (in any way) her husband, then his wife in Paradise tells her: ‘Do not harm him, may Allah fight you, he is only staying temporarily with you. Soon he will come to us.‘ [Ahmad & At-Tirmithi].
3 — Avoid being unappreciative or unthankful to your husband, “Allah does not look to the woman who does not appreciate her husband while she cannot stand his departing her.” [An-Nasaii].
4 – Do not ask your husband for divorce for no reason. The Prophet PBUH warned women who ask for divorce for no sound reason in his Hadith, “Any woman who asks her husband for divorce for no reason will not smell the fragrance of Paradise. [Sahih Al-Jamii].
5 — Do not obey your husband if he asks you to do prohibited matters, “Do not disobey the Creator to obey any human.” [Ahmad & Al-Hakim].
6 — Avoid voluntary fasting without your husband’s permission, unless he is absent, “A woman does (must) not fast while her husband is present without his permission, except in Ramadhan.” [Al-Bukhari & Muslim]. This Hadith emphasizes the importance of the wife satisfying her husbands sexual needs. If the husband agrees, then the wife can do volunteer fasting, satisfied that she fulfilled her obligation towards ber husband.
7 — It is a major sin to deny your husband sexual pleasure. The Prophet PBUH said, what translated means, “If a man calls his wife to bed and she refuses till he slept while angry, then the Angles will curse her till the morning.” [Muslim]. Muslim men have no other means to satisfy them but through Their wives. Therefore, the very essence of marriage will be destroyed if men are denied this right by their wives.
8 – It is a major sin for husbands and wives to tell others what they do in bed. The Prophet described the ones who do that as, “A devil who meets a fe ale devil and has intercourse with her in public” [Ahmad].
9 — The Prophet PBUH ordered every Muslim woman not to let anyone into their houses, “Unless he (her husband) gives her permission.” [Al-Bukhari].
10 — Muslim women do not have the habit of going in and out of their houses without necessity. Allah SWT said, what translated means, “And stay in your houses” [33:33].
