🏅📜香港監察獲美國世界民主運動頒發Democracy Courage Tribute
美國世界民主運動（World Democracy Movement）於1999年由美國國家民主基金會（National Endowment for Democracy）聯同其他兩個非政府組織創立，並透過包括了全球各國眾多議員政要、民主領袖、學者、傳媒人在內的民主網絡推動跨地域民主運動的合作及交流。
今年，香港監察有幸獲頒發Democracy Courage Tribute，並將於世界民主運動於7月8日（8AM - 12:30 PM D.C. / Ottawa | 8PM - 00:30AM HK | 1PM - 5:30PM London）於線上舉行的第十屆全球會議接受獎項。
美國眾議員Karen Bass、美國國家民主基金會主席Carl Gershman、前東帝汶總統José Ramos-Horta、加拿大國會議員Anita Vandenbeld、香港監察、維吾爾運動（Campaign for Uyghurs）和自由西藏學生運動（Students for a Free Tibet）代表將會出席發言。

🏅📜Hong Kong Watch awarded the Democracy Courage Tribute from World Democracy Movement
The World Movement for Democracy (WMD) is a global network of civil society activists, scholars, parliamentarians, thought leaders, journalists, and funders who are committed to advancing democracy. Since their establishment in 1999, the WMD has facilitated networking among democracy supporters and convened discussions and workshops on democracy in different regions of the world. The WMD also actively empowers the democracy movements to engage in cross-regional solidarity, as well as share knowledge, support, and strategies with one another.
This year, Hong Kong Watch has the honor of being chosen by the WMD to be awarded the Democracy Courage Tribute alongside Campaign for Uyghurs and Students for a Free Tibet during the 10th Global Assembly on July 8th 2021.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all Hongkongers and allies for the unwavering support and invite you all to share this very important moment with us this Thursday (8AM - 12:30 PM D.C. / Ottawa | 8PM - 00:30AM HK | 1PM - 5:30PM London).
U.S. Congresswoman Karen Bass, National Endowment for Democracy Chairman Carl Gershman, Former President of Timor-Leste José Ramos-Horta, Canadian Member of Parliament Anita Vandenbeld, representative of Hong Kong Watch and other distinguished speakers will speak at the Assembly.
