French Foreign Ministry stresses that the putschists have no authority to make such a request.
The ultimatum has now expired, and it seems that the French ambassador will not be leaving Niger as requested by the junta, which is not recognized by the French government.

The US🇺🇸 donated three C-130H to #Niger🇳🇪 in 2021/23. These aircraft are essential for the Air Force transporting troops/equipment. 🇳🇪supported 🇧🇫🇲🇱 with these aircraft in the past. Possible future lack of 🇺🇸support for maintenance & spare parts could quickly lead to a grounding. - Fabian
