Tale of two electric cords... I left the shop garage door open where we have wife's car and a freezer. Dogs got inside and laid on the extension cord, pulling it partially out of the wall. We lost all the meat in that freezer. Fortunately, it's a beer fridge and freezer and there's not much meat in it... just some venison. I found it because of the smell..... now I get to pressure wash the freezer out.
Could have been avoided by using a flat plug head design. Maybe I'll just move the beer fridge from the workshop to the basement.

Pull your kids from the public schools. Here in SC, we've had no child left behind which says "all students must perform at grade level" since 2001. 25 years. 2 entire generations of students... 25 graduating classes... and.... the State Dept of Ed released this statement: How this year’s results compare In the previous academic year, about 60 percent of students met or exceeded expectations in English language arts, up from nearly 54 percent the year before. Math scores also improved but remained lower than English language arts. About 44 percent of students met or exceeded expectations in math in the prior academic year. State education leaders say the overall goal of the assessment is to have at least 75 percent of students performing at or above grade level by 2030.
We slowed the classes to that of the slowest kid, we allowed the smartest kids to wither on the vine. We put bored fidgety boys on ADD head meds and have an entire genertion of young men on meth living on the streets.... and hte dept of Ed says "four more years" and we'll be 75% of the way there.
