Dear O4A Family,

This is not one of the regular posts but rather an expression of my heartfelt emotion as a fellow Ethiopian citizen and as a human being.

Dear compatriots 🇪🇹, tonight I would personally like to say that I:-

- am sorry for all the hatred,
- am sorry for all the pain,
- am sorry for all the mind-blowing harsh words,
- am sorry for the hate speech,
- am sorry for all the destruction,
- am sorry for the damage,
- am sorry for all the discrimination,
- am sorry for the inequalities,
- am sorry for all the atrocities,
- am sorry for your mental health,
- am sorry for all the violence,
- am sorry for all the insanity,
- am sorry for the property loss,
- am sorry for the agony our mothers & sisters had to experience and
- most of all am sorry for all the lives lost and for failing you as a generation and a nation.

For all you have gone and gone through, I extend my heartfelt apologies on behalf of: -

- those with the power to stop all the madness but wouldn’t care to do so,
- the behalf of all who fueled the misery,
- on behalf of all who committed the wrong things.

So that you know, I love you and care about you. You are not alone; I am suffering and crying with you all. I hope better days will come soon but till then, please, let you and I be the change that we want to see in the world.
