โWherever you may be, death will overtake you, even if you should be within towers of lofty construction. And if good befalls them, they say, โThis is from Allahโ; but if evil befalls them, they say, โThis is from you.โ Say, โAll [things] are from Allah.โ So what is [the matter] with those people that they can hardly understand any statement?โ (Qurโan 4:78)
โ๏ธ Wilayah Narrations
โ Imam Husayn (peace be upon him) ๐ฌ When leaving Madinah, he said to the believing jinn: โIf I remain in Madinah, how will people be tested? And who will rest in the sacred land of Karbala โ that land which Allah has chosen for me and made a refuge for my Shia?โ Then he recited this verse: โWherever you may be, death will overtake youโฆโ ๐ Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt, v.3 | Bihar al-Anwar, v.44
โ The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) ๐ฌ โFear none but Allah; for death will overtake you even in the strongest towers.โ ๐ Mustadrak al-Wasaโil, v.12 | Makฤrim al-Akhlฤq
โ Imam Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him) ๐ฌ โWhen hypocrites were blessed, they attributed it to Allah, but if they suffered hardship, they blamed the Prophet or Imam Ali (a.s). Yet all is within the grasp of Allahโs decree.โ ๐ Bihar, v.31 | Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt, v.3
๐ Wilayah Perspective
๐น This verse reminds the believer to fully submit to divine decree โ whether in comfort or calamity. Death, fate, and destiny cannot be avoided, not even in fortified towers.
๐น The hypocritesโ habit of crediting good to Allah but blaming the Prophet for hardship exposes their deep hypocrisy and ignorance of the truth of Wilayah.
โจ Mahdawi Perspective
๐ธ In Ashura narrations, this verse connects to the philosophy of Imam Husaynโs (a.s) uprising: even had he stayed in Madinah, the decree of his martyrdom in Karbala would have come to pass โ making Karbala the sanctuary for the Shia and the sign of loyalty for the companions of Imam Mahdi (aj).
๐ธ Shia know that the sacred land of Karbala and the martyrdom of Husayn (a.s) sowed the seeds for the awaited uprising โ a divine destiny that will always bear fruit.
โ Wilayah & Mahdawi Conclusion
โ๏ธ No fortress in this world can prevent Allahโs decree.
โ๏ธ The willingness to embrace martyrdom with Husayn (a.s) and the Awaited Mahdi (aj) is conscious submission to that decree.
โ๏ธ The true believer attributes both blessing and trial to the wisdom of Allah, not to shallow blame or ignorance.

โก๏ธ Shimr ibn Dhiโl-Jawshan โ The Special Envoy of the Jews
1๏ธโฃ #Shimr_ibn_Dhil_Jawshan should be regarded as an infiltrator from the camp of #Sham (Damascus) into Kufa and a loyal agent of #Banu_Umayyah. When Shimr, along with some of his men, stormed the tents, Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) cried out:
๐ โO followers of the household of Abu Sufyan! If you do not have religion and do not fear the Day of Judgement, then at least be free men in your worldly life!โ
2๏ธโฃ Later, Shimr sought to justify all his heinous actions by claiming he was โjust following orders.โ Considering how he rose to power during the events of #Karbala and his savage conduct on the day of #Ashura, there is no doubt that by โfollowing ordersโ he meant instructions directly issued from #Sham.
3๏ธโฃ Another clue that further confirms Shimrโs role as Shamโs special envoy is his strategic presence at every critical turning point in Karbala โ especially during moments when mercy or respect could have been shown. Shimrโs role in intensifying the tragedy of Ashura was unique and pivotal.
4๏ธโฃ Taken together, historical accounts indicate that Shimr was a special emissary sent from Sham with a secret mission. This special role was so apparent that even the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) regarded Shimr with a distinct perspective among all the other brutes present at Karbala.
5๏ธโฃ According to historical reports, Shimr was the only person in Kufa known to wear a โTaylasanโ (a specific cloak). It is recorded that when Anas ibn Malik saw a group wearing Taylasans in Basra, he immediately recalled the #Jews_of_Khaybar.
6๏ธโฃ Beyond this, Shimrโs fatherโs name was #Sharahbil [which, like Shimrโs own name, appears to be a Hebrew name], and โDhiโl-Jawshanโ is merely a title. Therefore, it is even possible to consider Shimr as one of the #Jewish_residents_of_Kufa.
