Facing Discrimination Despite the rhetoric surrounding freedom and democracy in the West, we, as German, European, or Western Muslims, feel immense pressure in our own countries regarding employment and living conditions, coupled with the constant insultsβ¦
The Importance of Awareness
As you mentioned, unfortunately, the rate of separation in bi-cultural marriages, especially among Muslims, is not insignificant. This was a topic of discussion in the "Huda" magazine (a publication for German-speaking Muslim women). It's essential to recognize that not every Muslim man is a good husband, and newly converted Muslims must approach marriage seriously, understanding that many other factors play a role in a successful union.
Primarily, issues arise from a lack of awareness and comprehension of Islamic laws and a commitment to restrictions rooted in various customs and traditions, often mistakenly upheld in the name of religion.
We hope that through proper Islamic education, Muslims will prioritize the truth of Islam in their lives, thereby alleviating many challenges. Now, may I ask what motivated you to travel to Iran? Please elaborate on this topic.
Motivation for Traveling to Iran
Honestly, as you know, negative propaganda about the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran occupies media headlines daily. Additionally, Iranian refugees and political factions in Islamic countries, such as Saudi Arabia, opposed to the Islamic government, contribute to this negative narrative. Consequently, a toxic atmosphere surrounding Islamic Iran has emerged.
For me, the existence of an Islamic Republic in Iran has always piqued my interest, and I have long desired to see the country up close. The toxicity of the atmosphere surrounding this desire was so profound that when I expressed my intent to visit, my friends strongly discouraged me.
My interest grew through interactions with several members of the "Islamic Path Assembly," who are also German. Attending their annual seminars further fueled my desire to visit Iran. Despite my Muslim friends' claims that women have no rights in Iran and that it would be dangerous for me to travel there, I remained resolute in my pursuit to witness the truths for myself.
