🔴 Canadian Speaker Warns MP Over Support for Palestine
🔹 The Speaker of Canada's House of Commons issued a warning to MP McPherson after he wore a pin featuring a watermelon and publicly expressed support for Palestine. This move came as McPherson courageously called for an arms embargo against Israel due to its ongoing actions in Gaza.
🔸 In a sharp rebuttal the following day, McPherson cleverly wore a Ukrainian flag pin, exposing what he saw as the hypocrisy of other members of parliament. When he condemned their actions and accused them of racism, the Parliament's response was swift: they silenced him by cutting off his microphone.
This incident highlights the ongoing tension around global support for Palestine and international double standards when addressing different conflicts. The suppression of McPherson's voice emphasizes the stifling of dissenting opinions in political arenas, especially regarding sensitive international issues like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
