✅ In the historical context of the Islamic army's expedition to conquer Mecca, a compassionate incident unfolded as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) traversed the path. Amidst the fervor of the military campaign, the Prophet, known for his deep compassion towards all living beings, came across a scene that stirred his empathy. A distressed female dog, surrounded by her vulnerable puppies, was whimpering along the way.

Recognizing the vulnerability of this creature and the potential disturbance posed by the marching army, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) took immediate action. Demonstrating his commitment to kindness and consideration for all creatures, he called upon one of his companions, Ja'far ibn Abi Talib. With a heartfelt directive, he instructed Ja'far to dismount from his horse and assume a protective stance like a shield in front of the dog. The purpose was clear – to shield the canine family from any harm that might be inadvertently caused by the passing multitude.

This incident, although seemingly small in the grand narrative of the conquest, speaks volumes about the Prophet's character and the importance he placed on compassion towards animals. It reflects a profound understanding of the interconnectedness of all life and the duty to safeguard the vulnerable, even in the midst of significant historical events.
