🔹 Verses 162–163 of Surah Āl ʿImrān:

﴿أَفَمَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَانَ اللَّهِ كَمَنْ بَاءَ بِسَخَطٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَمَأْوَاهُ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ﴾
﴿هُمْ دَرَجَاتٌ عِندَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ﴾

Translation:
Is one who seeks the pleasure of Allah like one who incurs the wrath of Allah and whose abode is Hell? What an evil destination! They are in varying degrees before Allah, and Allah is Seeing of what they do.

🔹 Mahdist & Wilāyah-Centered Reflection:

1. Divine Pleasure = Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said:

“Those who follow the pleasure of Allah are none other than the Imams (peace be upon them). They are the degrees for the believers. Allah multiplies the reward of those who recognize and accept our authority and elevates their ranks.”
📚 Tafsīr Ahl al-Bayt, vol. 2, p. 812; al-Kāfī, vol. 1, p. 430

✅ Conclusion: Following the Wilāyah of Ahl al-Bayt is the path to divine pleasure and lofty ranks in Allah’s presence.

2. Divine Wrath = Denial of Wilāyah

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) further said:

“The one who incurs the wrath of Allah is the one who denies the right of ‘Alī (peace be upon him) and the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt.”
📚 Tafsīr Ahl al-Bayt, vol. 2, p. 814; Biḥār al-Anwār, vol. 66, p. 171

✅ Conclusion: Denial of Wilāyah leads to divine wrath and eternal loss in Hell.

3. Ranks with Allah = Proximity Through Obedience to Ahl al-Bayt

In a profound narration from Tafsīr Imam al-ʿAskarī (peace be upon him), the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) said:

“My likeness among the servants is that of the month of Ramadan. My Ahl al-Bayt are like the month of Shaʿbān. And ‘Alī (peace be upon him) is like the night and day of the 15th of Shaʿbān... The more the believers resemble the Ahl al-Bayt in obedience and faith, the higher their ranks; ‘They are in degrees with Allah.’
📚 Tafsīr Ahl al-Bayt, vol. 2, p. 816; Biḥār al-Anwār, vol. 37, p. 53

✅ Conclusion: The degrees before Allah correspond to how closely one emulates the Ahl al-Bayt in devotion and loyalty.

✨ Mahdist Summary:

These two verses present a clear contrast between:

Divine Pleasure = Following the Wilāyah of the Ahl al-Bayt

Divine Wrath = Rejecting their authority

The outcome?

Either exalted ranks before Allah

Or condemnation in Hell

In the time of Ghaybah (Occultation), remaining steadfast on the path of Wilāyah, obeying the representative of the Imam (may Allah hasten his reappearance), and recognizing the path of the Ahl al-Bayt is the true criterion of attaining divine pleasure and rank.
