🔴 "The Iranian Commander"—The Conqueror of Palestine & the Fall of the Roman Empire
✨ The Return of Iran’s Glory & Power in the Era of Reappearance
✍️ By Mostafa Amiri
🔹 In the End Times, Iranians will reach the peak of their historical power, playing a pivotal role in regional events and leading the global Islamic movement to victory.
🔸 Quranic verses and narrations confirm Iran’s central role in these events.
📖 Iran’s Historic Victory Over Rome
🔺 The early verses of Surah Ar-Rum highlight Iran’s military strength, as Iranian forces waged war beyond their borders in Sham, the nearest Roman territory. This cross-border campaign led to a decisive victory, fulfilling the Quranic prophecy:
"The Romans have been defeated." (Surah Ar-Rum: 2)
📌 The Conquest of Jerusalem by Iranian General Shahrbaraz
🔹 The famous Iranian commander, Shahrbaraz, referred to as "Shahryar" in Islamic commentaries, led his forces across the Tigris and Euphrates, launching a devastating attack on Roman strongholds in Sham.
🔸 His army defeated the Romans, captured Jerusalem, and advanced deep into Palestine.
📖 Iran’s Role in the End Times
🔹 This historical event will be repeated before the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (AJ).
🔺 Iranian forces, as followers of Ahlul Bayt, will first crush Sufyani’s army in Iraq, then victoriously enter Palestine.
🔸 Even the military intervention of "Marqat al-Rum" (Western forces) to protect Israel and the Banu Isra’il Jews will fail against the advancing Shi’a forces.

📖 Romans and the Jews: The Destruction of the Second Temple
🔗 Source: JS Center – Destruction of the Second Temple
🏛 In 63 BCE, the land of Judea—after passing through Persian, Greek, Ptolemaic, Seleucid, and Maccabean rule—finally fell under the domination of the Romans.
👤 The first Roman-appointed ruler was Hyrcanus II, though real power lay with a cunning Jewish advisor, Antipater. After Antipater’s assassination, his son Herod rose to power in 37 BCE following years of revolt.
⚔️ Rebellions persisted until 66 CE, when under Emperor Nero, the Jews launched a widespread revolt. Nero sent his general Vespasian to suppress it. During the war, Vespasian received news of Nero’s death and rushed to Rome—eventually becoming emperor.
📌 A striking episode unfolded:
📜 Rabbi Yohanan ben Zakkai, opposed to war, escaped Jerusalem in a coffin (as burial of the dead was the only way out of the besieged city). He presented himself before Vespasian, addressed him repeatedly as “Your Majesty the Emperor”—and shortly after, news arrived confirming Nero’s death.
✨ Vespasian, taking this as a good omen, granted Yohanan’s request to spare the small town of Yavneh and its scholars. Thus, Yavneh became the new Jewish center instead of Jerusalem.
🔥 In 70 CE, Vespasian’s son Titus besieged Jerusalem. The city fell, the Temple was burned, and countless Jews were killed or enslaved.
📊 Some Jewish writers claim over one million killed and 100,000 enslaved—numbers widely considered exaggerated, reflecting a recurring pattern of victimhood narratives that later underpinned Zionist ambitions in Palestine.
⚠️ Beyond propaganda, the tragedy also cost the lives of true believers among the Jews—those whom the Qur’an acknowledges as sincere:
🌍 After the catastrophe, Jerusalem and even Yavneh slipped from Jewish hands. This marked the beginning of their diaspora, alongside their covert expansion elsewhere:
First to Galilee in Palestine,
Later to Babylon under the Parthians,
Then to Hijaz in Arabia,
Eventually forming a powerful presence in Islamic Andalusia and Western Europe.
📌 This cycle of displacement, opportunism, and reintegration became a hallmark of Jewish history.
✍️ To be continued…

“Among the People of the Book are those who believe in Allah and what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah. They do not sell the verses of Allah for a small price; for them is a reward with their Lord. Indeed, Allah is swift in account.” (Qur’an 3:199)
