🔴 I Cried Only Once

📜 Sattar Khan, the legendary Iranian hero, shares in his memoirs:
"I never cried. If I had, Azerbaijan would have fallen, and if Azerbaijan fell, Iran would have fallen. But there was one moment when I couldn't hold back my tears.

For nine months, we were under siege—no water, no food. One day, as I stepped out of the base, I saw a mother holding her child. The child, weakened by hunger, crawled toward a clump of grass, desperately eating the roots mixed with soil.

I thought to myself, 'Surely, this mother will curse me now and say, ‘Damn Sattar Khan!’

But instead, she held her child close and whispered:
💬 ‘It's okay, my child. We may eat soil, but we will not surrender our soil.’

It was then that tears streamed down my face."
