🔴 Is Khorasani a Sayyid and from Banu Hashim?
✍️ By: Mostafa Amiri
▪️ Due to the increasing number of inquiries regarding Sayyid Khorasani and the recent remarks by Ustad Tabasi, which sparked various reactions, it has become necessary to address this topic in a scholarly manner, free from personal biases.
▪️ Previously, different perspectives on Khorasani's uprising were discussed and verified for authenticity.
🔹 A key question arises: Is Khorasani a Sayyid and from the lineage of Banu Hashim?
▪️ When Sufyani invades Iraq, particularly Kufa and Najaf, the banners of Khorasan—originating from Iran and including the special companions of Imam Mahdi—enter Iraq to confront Sufyani’s forces, backed by Western powers:
📖 "Sufyani... will have no concern except advancing towards Iraq... He will send an army of 70,000 to Kufa, causing great bloodshed and destruction. Amid this chaos, banners from Khorasan will advance... among them will be individuals from the companions of the Qa'im (Imam Mahdi)." [1]
▪️ Another narration states that these banners from Khorasan will be led by a Sayyid from Banu Hashim:
📖 "Banners will rise from the East... led by a man from the family of Muhammad. They will appear in the East... until they reach Kufa, seeking revenge for their forefathers." [2]
🔹 Khorasan & Its Symbolism
The "Land of the East" and "Land of Khorasan" historically referred to Iran at that time. In Mahdist traditions, these terms not only indicate geography but also symbolize the Shi'a Iranian identity, much like the term "People of Qom" does. [3]
🔹 The Triple Uprising & End-Time Conflict
The simultaneous emergence of three banners—the Khurasani, Yamani, and Sufyani—marks the clash between the Shi'a axis and the Western-Hebrew-Arab alliance in Iraq:
📖 "The emergence of three: Sufyani, Khurasani, and Yamani will occur in the same year, the same month, and even the same day." [4]
🔹 Iranian Forces vs. Sufyani—A Race to Kufa
The military confrontation between Khorasani's forces and Sufyani is likened to a race between two competing horses:
📖 "The Khurasani and the Sufyani—one from the East, the other from the West—will race towards Kufa like two competing horses." [6]
🔹 Khorasani's Allegiance to Imam Mahdi
The banners from Khorasan, led by a Sayyid from the family of the Prophet, will pledge allegiance to Imam Mahdi after his reappearance:
📖 "The black banners will advance from Khorasan to Kufa. When Mahdi appears, they will offer him their allegiance." [7]
📖 Another narration describes Iranian forces handing over their revolutionary flag to Imam Mahdi:
📖 "I see a people rising from the East... and they will not hand over their banner except to your companion (Imam Mahdi).” [8]
🔹 Conclusion
Sayyid Khorasani—the final leader of Iran before the reappearance of Imam Mahdi—is from Banu Hashim and will hand over Iran’s revolutionary banner to the Imam of the Time.
