📈 According to the report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in America, sexual assaults and other harmful experiences have led to an unprecedented level of despair and suicidal thoughts among young American women.
🔹Caitlin Ateer, the Director of Adolescent Health and Schools at the CDC, stated that our teenage girls are suffering from a wide wave of violence and trauma, significantly impacting their mental health.
🔹Based on this report, almost 3 out of every 5 teenage girls (57%) reported feeling "persistent sadness or despair." This is the highest rate in a decade.
🔹30% also mentioned seriously contemplating suicide, a percentage that has increased nearly 60% in the past 10 years.
