🔹 Verse 88 – Surah An-Nisa | Wilayah and Mahdavi Insight

🌙 The Noble Verse

“So what is [the matter] with you that you are [divided into] two groups regarding the hypocrites, while Allah has made them relapse [into disbelief] for what they earned? Do you wish to guide those whom Allah has sent astray? And whomever Allah leaves astray – never will you find for him a way.” (An-Nisa 4:88)

✍️ Wilayah Narration

✅ Imam Ali (peace be upon him) 💬 Razin ibn Hubaysh narrates: The Commander of the Faithful (a.s.) said: “When a person dies and is laid in the grave, two angels (Nakir and Munkar) come to him. They ask about his Lord, then his Prophet, then about his Wali and Imam. If he answers correctly, he is saved; if not, he falls into punishment.”
A man asked: “How can someone know God and His Prophet but not know the Imam?”
Imam Ali (a.s.) replied: “Such a person is bewildered – neither accepting nor rejecting the Imam. This one falls under this verse: ‘And whomever Allah leaves astray – never will you find for him a way.’ He has no escape.”

🌟 Wilayah Insight

🔹 This verse highlights the danger of hypocrisy and the fate of those who, by their deeds, are distanced from divine guidance. According to Imam Ali (a.s.), the ultimate criterion for salvation in the grave is recognition of the Imam.

🔹 Whoever denies or doubts the Imam’s Wilayah lives in confusion in this world and faces punishment in the next. This timeless measure of true guidance is Wilayah.

✨ Mahdavi Insight

🔸 In the age of occultation, this same standard remains firm. Whoever does not recognize his living Imam will be lost in trials and confusion. Imam Ali’s (a.s.) narration reminds us that accepting the rightful Imam is the key to salvation.

🔸 In the end times, hypocrites and hidden agents of division fuel people’s confusion by rejecting Wilayah. The only safe path is holding to the Wilayah path.

🌙 Noble Verse

“Mudhabbadhabeena bayna dhalika la ila ha’ulaa’i wa la ila ha’ulaa’i wa man yudhlilillahu falan tajida lahu sabeela.”
“They are wavering between this and that, belonging neither to these nor to those. And whoever Allah leaves astray — you will never find a way for him.” (An-Nisa, 4:143)

✍️ Wilayah Narration

✅ Imam Ali (peace be upon him): 💬 Zirr bin Hubaysh narrates that Imam Ali (a) said: “When a servant dies and enters the grave, two angels named Nakir and Munkar come to him. Their first questions are: ‘Who is your Lord? Who is your Prophet? Who is your Imam?’ If he answers correctly, he is saved; if not, he is punished.”
Someone asked: “What if a person knows his Lord and his Prophet but does not know his Imam?”
The Imam replied: “Such a person is bewildered, neither belonging here nor there: ‘And whoever Allah leaves astray — you will never find a way for him.’ Such a person has no way out.” 📚 Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt, vol. 3 | Basa’ir al-Darajat, p. 498

🌟 Wilayah Insight

🔹 This verse clarifies that knowing and accepting the rightful Imam is the criterion for salvation.
🔹 One who does not recognize the Imam of their time will falter in the grave’s test of belief. Thus, Wilayah is the dividing line between truth and falsehood, guidance and misguidance.

🔸 This verse and narration warn all believers that without genuine recognition and connection to Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance), they will be lost in the divine trial.
🔸 The Wilayah of the Imam is the condition for escaping confusion.
🔸 In the era of occultation, deep knowledge and loyal action towards the Hujjah of Allah is the only path to clarity.
