📚 One of the biggest problems of #modern messengers is an excessive desire to find out as much user data as possible. Today, the market has dozens of different instant messengers. Many of them are positioned as safe and #secure, but in practice, everything is far from simple. And there are several reasons for this.
⠀
🖇 The first of these is a significant part of the correspondence applications directly owned by corporations that want to collect as much user data as possible. Another problem - almost all the most popular communication tools today are closed products. Nobody has ever seen their source code, it is not accessible for audit by independent information security researchers. This, in particular, leads to the fact that such products may reveal important #data even contrary to the wishes of the developers, for example, due to a #software error. In addition, the traditional messenger model involves centralization, which is also not very good from a security point of view.
⠀
🔒 #Decrypting the data in the blockchain will not work out completely, because each of the participants in the correspondence will have their own key. When user data is stored on the blockchain, it is distributed around the world. Providing proper protection with encryption, intercepting messages becomes a difficult task - more precisely, interception itself is possible, but decryption of encrypted fragments of communication will be impossible, and keys will never be sent over the #network.
