🔴 12 апреля Посол России в Бахрейне А.В.Скосырев торжественно открыл выставку «Летописцы истории. Спираль времени сквозь объективы фотокамер», организованную в партнерстве с Бахрейнско-Российским обществом дружбы, журналом «Новые регионы», Общиной русскоговорящих «Соотечественники» и галереей «Colors of the East». Официальную церемонию посетили представители дипкорпуса (в т.ч. из Алжира, Китая, Сербии, Индонезии, Кувейта и др.), а также журналисты и официальные лица.
🖼️ Экспозиция состоит из двух десятков работ знаменитого военного фотографа Евгения Халдея о Великой Отечественной войне и ростовского журналиста, документалиста Сергея Венявского о событиях СВО, который проводит параллели между Великой Отечественной войной и Специальной военной операцией.
⭕ На черно-белых снимках представлены исторические моменты Великой Отечественной войны и сегодняшние дни: освобожденный и еще не отстроенный заново Мариуполь, музей в Таганроге, поврежденный во время атаки вражеских БПЛА.
🕰️ Выставку можно посетить бесплатно до 12 мая в часы работы торгового центра Seef mal (район Seef) с 10.00 до 22.00.

🔴 On April 12, H.E. the Russian Ambassador Dr. Alexey Skosyrev took part in the official opening ceremony of the exhibition "Chroniclers of History: The Spiral of Time Through the Cameralenses" organized in partnership with the Bahrain-Russia Friendship Society, New Regions magazine, Russian speaking diaspora "Compatriots" and Colors of the East gallery. The official ceremony was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps (including from Algeria, China, Serbia, Indonesia, Kuwait, and others), as well as journalists and bahraini officials.
🖼️ The exhibition features more then twenty works by the famous wartime photographer Yevgeny Khaldei, depicting the Great Patriotic War, and Rostov journalist and documentarian Sergey Venyavsky, showcasing events from the Special Military Operation, drawing parallels between the Great Patriotic War and the ongoing operation.
⭕ The black-and-white photographs capture historical moments from the Great Patriotic War and contemporary events, including images of liberated yet still unrestored Mariupol and the Taganrog museum damaged during Ukranian drone attack.
🕰️ The exhibition is free of charge and open to the public until May 12 during the operating hours of Seef Mall (Seef District): from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

🇷🇺🇧🇭 3 мая в Манаме впервые состоялась международная акция «Букет Победы», приуроченная к 80-летию Победы в Великой Отечественной войне. Организатором выступила действующая в Королевстве Община русскоговорящих «Соотечественники».
✂️ В мероприятии приняли участие 29 гостей из разных стран. Взрослые и дети вместе собирали «Букеты Победы», отдавая тем самым дань памяти павшим героям и выражая свою благодарность ветеранам. В рамках данной инициативы член «Общества бахрейнско-российской дружбы» Александра Новик-Хамис провела мастер-класс по созданию бумажных гвоздик — цветов, считающихся символом подвига советского народа. Особую атмосферу событию придали песни и рассказы военных лет.

The event was attended by numerous compatriots, sympathetic citizens of Bahrain and other countries, as well as staff of the diplomatic mission. Those gathered honored the memory of the war heroes and homefront workers who made a decisive contribution to saving the Motherland and the entire world from the “Brown Plague.”

💬 I would like to congratulate you on the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet People and the Allies in the World War II in Europe. In Russia, as you may know, the events of those days are better known as the Great Patriotic War. […] And I also want to extend my sincerest gratitude to you for coming today to honor the sacrifice of all the heroes who fought not only for the freedom, independence, and bright future of our country, but for the sake of humanity as a whole. As we say back at home, the deeds of our forefathers are immortal, the memory of them is eternal;
💬 Unfortunately, […] the further we move from May 9, 1945, the more persistent are the attempts to politicize and rewrite history, to whitewash the crimes of the Nazis. Once again we see the parades under the SS-banners in certain European towns. Once again our brave soldiers have to burn the tanks from Germany with Nazi eagles and crosses on their armor at the Western borders of our country;
💬 It’s important to note that the majority of the world […] understand the significance of the date, share our feelings and recognize the role of the Soviet Union in bringing peace and liberty to Europe and beyond. The attendance of the Victory Parade in Moscow by the leaders of 27 nations from around the globe shows that clearly. And it’s particularly heartwarming for me personally that the Kingdom of Bahrain – my current station - is also among the states that express their solidarity with us on this blessed occasion, as indicated by the cable sent yesterday by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to His Excellency President Vladimir Putin […].

On May 9, a large-scale commemoration event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory was held at the Gulf Hotel in Manama.
The celebration opened with a congratulatory speech by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Alexey Skosyrev.
"Unfortunately, the further we move away from May 9, 1945, the more persistent the attempts become to politicize and rewrite history, diminishing the contribution of the USSR (and especially Russia) to the victory over fascism. He stressed that it is our duty to preserve the memory of those who endured unbearable suffering, deprivations, and losses, worked to exhaustion, fought heroically, and demonstrated true patriotism."
🎵 The event featured a concert organized by the Russian-speaking compatriots and the "Immortal Regiment" march.
📸 A special photo zone was set up with informational stands about soldiers' rations and military uniforms. Guests could also explore the collection of handmade patchwork postcards, crafted by artisans from various Russian cities specifically for the Victory Day celebration in Bahrain.
Attendees were presented with a TASS photo exhibition titled "Their Immortal Heroism" which highlights key events of the final months of the Great Patriotic War and consists of 26 thematic panels featuring archival TASS reports from the "Frontline Information Bulletin" and "Allied Information Bulletin," photographs by wartime correspondents, and posters from the famous "TASS Windows" series.
The guest of honor of the event - H.E. Ambassador Khalid Al-Jalahma, Undersecretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain.
Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom attended the concert as well.
The Embassy expresses its gratitude to all organizers and participants involved, including the Life in Music school and its director Olga Aust; the children’s theater studio Koshkin Dom ("Cat's House") and its director Irina Ivanova-de Boer (script and stage direction); Andrey Kravchenko, Olga Sterkhova, and all the studio’s actors; Daniil Sokov (videography); Roman Pikul (technical support for the concert); Irina Averinos (poster design, exhibition of textile greeting cards); Alina Krapivina, Elena Bosaya, and Hana Al-Moaber (design and overall visual concept), as well as many others.

Russian-speaking Community "Compatriots" Held Victory Day Celebration in Bahrain
On May 16, solemn event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War took place in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It was organized by the Russian-speaking community "Compatriots" and the Bahraini-Russian Friendship Society with the support of the Russian Embassy in Manama.
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Dr.Alexey Skosyrev, addressed the guests — including the representatives of the Russian diaspora, diplomatic corps, and media — with a welcome speech. He emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory of the Great Victory as the foundation for the international security.
The program of the event included the concert and the “Immortal Regiment” march, where Russian compatriots carried portraits of the war veterans.
Guests were also invited to explore the following exhibitions:
