Специализированный курс русского языка для военнослужащих Шри-Ланки
В Русском доме в Коломбо стартовал специализированный курс русского языка для военнослужащих Шри-Ланки. В церемонии запуска приняли участие Посол России Леван Джагарян, руководитель Русского дома Мария Попова, а также полковник Вооруженных сил Шри-Ланки Невил Аттанаяка.
Инициатива по организации курса исходила непосредственно от ланкийской стороны — соответствующая просьба поступила около трех месяцев назад.
Русский дом оперативно отреагировал на обращение и в короткие сроки подготовил специальную программу обучения. Курс разработал куратор Лиги русистов, старший педагог Русского дома Феликс Фернандо, адаптировав содержание занятий непосредственно под профессиональные интересы и потребности слушателей.
В обучении примут участие 20 ланкийских военнослужащих. Курс рассчитан на полтора года, занятия будут проходить каждую пятницу по восемь часов.
Интерес ланкийской стороны к изучению русского языка обусловлен прежде всего практическими задачами. Российские туристы входят в число наиболее значимых туристических потоков Шри-Ланки, поэтому возможность эффективно общаться с российскими гражданами и обеспечивать их безопасность имеет для ланкийских служб особое значение.
При этом ланкийская сторона отмечает и возрастающую роль русского языка в современном мире, его востребованность и значение для международного профессионального взаимодействия. Именно поэтому изучение русского языка рассматривается как важное и перспективное направление.
В Русском доме рады поддержать эту инициативу и открыть новое направление языкового образования. Желаем всем слушателям успехов, интересного обучения и уверенного продвижения в русском языке! 🇷🇺🤝🇱🇰

⚡️ Russian Foreign Ministry statement on retaliatory measures in response to the European Union’s twenty-first “package” of anti-Russian sanctions (September 18, 2026)
💬 The EU continues to pursue a policy of unilateral restrictive measures that is illegitimate under international law. On July 23, the EU Council approved its twenty-first “package” of anti-Russian sanctions aimed at inflicting damage on our country.
In response to the EU’s unlawful decisions, Russia has substantially expanded the list of representatives of EU institutions, EU member states and several other European countries supporting Brussels’ anti-Russian policy who are banned from entering our country under Federal Law No. 114-FZ of August 15, 1996, “On the Procedure for Exit from and Entry into the Russian Federation”.
🚫 The list includes individuals:
• involved in decisions to provide military assistance to the Kiev regime;
• engaged in activities aimed at undermining the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation;
• responsible for imposing anti-Russian sanctions;
• responsible for damaging Russia’s relations with third countries;
• responsible for obstructing maritime shipping serving Russia’s interests;
• involved in persecuting Russian citizens on fabricated grounds;
• involved in establishing pseudo-legal anti-Russian “mechanisms” within the Council of Europe;
• advocating the unlawful seizure of Russian state assets or the use of profits generated by them.
Russia has also imposed restrictive measures on “civil activists” and academics in European countries who take a hostile anti-Russian stance, as well as members of EU national parliaments and the European Parliament who voted for anti-Russian resolutions and legislation.
Despite Brussels’ destructive policy, Russia will remain firmly committed to its foreign policy course, aimed at defending national interests, safeguarding the rights and freedoms of Russian citizens, and helping shape a fair #MultipolarWorld.
❗️ Any further moves by the EU to expand its unilateral anti-Russian sanctions will continue to meet with an appropriate response from Russia.

⚡️ Russian MFA Statement on the resolution “Nuclear Safety, Security and Safeguards in Ukraine” of the 70th session of the IAEA General Conference (September 18, 2026)
On September 17, the 70th session of the IAEA General Conference considered and voted on the draft resolution “Nuclear Safety, Security and Safeguards in Ukraine”, prepared by Canada and Ukraine.
The ritual submission of this politicised document, which calls into question our country’s territorial integrity, at the annual sessions of the IAEA General Conference has become an obligatory element of the efforts by Kiev and its Western handlers to undermine the Agency’s stable and effective functioning.
❌ As before, the majority of delegations did not support the initiative.
Alongside Russia, a number of states voted against the draft, while others abstained. Several dozen more IAEA member states refused to take part in this Western-orchestrated farce, signalling their rejection of the anti-Russian text by sitting out the vote.
❗️ We condemn this latest clumsy attempt by a small group of Western countries to use the Agency to advance their political objectives in violation of its strictly technical mandate.
This anti-Russian initiative by Western states is especially cynical given Ukraine’s relentless attacks on Russia’s Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant (#ZNPP), its staff and their families, and the plant’s host city of Energodar.
Instead of finally reining in the increasingly brazen Zelensky regime, these countries continue to shield it from accountability for its reckless actions and encourage further adventurism. Clearly, the resolution’s sponsors have no real interest in nuclear safety, nuclear security or IAEA safeguards. Their sole aim is to settle political scores with our country.
The resolution is not only openly provocative but also goes far beyond the Agency’s Statute.
☝️ Like previous documents of this kind, we regard it as legally and politically null and void. It will have no consequences under international law. None of its provisions will be implemented.
Russia will continue to ensure the safety and security of the ZNPP in accordance with its national legislation and international obligations.
