Experts Met at MIT to Discuss How To Spot Dyson Spheres Around Black Holes Read Full Article #DysonSpheres #BlackHoleScience #MITconference
🚀 Over two dozen top scientific minds met at MIT in June for the "Dyson Minds 2025 Workshop" to discuss the radical concept of alien-built Dyson spheres around black holes.
💡 The workshop, organized by Penn State, MIT, and The Ultraintelligence Foundation, explored how advanced civilizations might harvest energy from black holes, a departure from the traditional concept of Dyson spheres around stars.
📡 Researchers like Olivia Curtis, lead author of a paper on the workshop, are seeking observable signs, such as periodic bursts of information or unusual infrared signatures, that could indicate the presence of such structures, even if they are thousands of light-years away.
🔭 Data from projects like the Event Horizon Telescope, which captured images of black holes in M87 (2019) and Sagittarius A* (2022), are being analyzed for anomalies that current algorithms might overlook.
