🦗 New research suggests crickets may experience pain, exhibiting behaviors like grooming a sore antenna similar to how a dog might tend to an injured paw.

🔥 Scientists applied a heated probe (65C) to cricket antennae. Those affected spent significantly more time grooming the injured antenna, a response considered a key indicator of pain.

🧠 The findings challenge the view of insects as mere "little machines," highlighting their capacity for learning and complex decision-making, and the possibility of conscious experience in invertebrates.
