⚡️ NASA's Juno mission has provided new evidence for the formation of high-energy particles, including cosmic rays, by capturing particles traveling near the speed of light around Jupiter.

🔭 The findings confirm that a process observed near Earth, where solar particles gain energy in a region called the foreshock, is also responsible for accelerating particles around Jupiter and potentially across the galaxy.

🔬 Juno measured high-speed electrons in Jupiter's foreshock, finding they reached even higher speeds than those near Earth, scaling with Jupiter's larger bow shock.
