👻 New research suggests that the unsettling feelings people experience in old buildings might be caused by infrasound – sounds below human hearing, often produced by aged pipes and boilers.

🔬 A study found that even when undetectable, infrasound increased irritability and stress hormone levels (cortisol) in volunteers.

🧠 This low-frequency sound could contribute to the perception of paranormal activity, particularly for those already inclined to believe in ghosts, by adding bodily discomfort that can be attributed to a "haunting."

✨ A recent trial in Brazil tested out-of-body experiences (OBEs). Participants attempted to identify objects in another room, but results were no better than chance.

😮 Unexpectedly, two participants accurately described researchers' locations and activities behind closed doors, a finding not part of the study's initial goals.

💡 Researchers suggest future OBE studies should incorporate memorable details (like colorful clothing) as targets, potentially improving the evaluation of remote viewing capabilities.

🔬 These findings, published in Explore, could prompt a reevaluation of our understanding of consciousness, perception, and reality if proven repeatable under rigorous conditions.
