🧠 A major new study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found no association between growing up drinking fluoridated water and intelligence or brain function later in life, up to age 80.

🔬 This research is the first U.S.-based, long-term study to examine community water fluoridation exposure in childhood and its potential impact on cognition. It contradicts claims linking fluoride to IQ loss.

⚖️ Experts stated the public can be assured there is no association with community water fluoridation and measures of IQ or neurodevelopment, despite some communities prohibiting fluoride in drinking water due to fears fueled by smaller, international studies.
