🐳 Sperm Whales Exhibit Human-like Birth Assistance: New research from Project CETI, documented on July 8, 2023, reveals sperm whales from different family groups (pods) cooperating to help a newborn calf survive.

🌊 Survival Instinct Drives Cross-Pod Aid: Unrelated whales actively supported a new calf by pushing it to the surface to prevent drowning and forming a raft to keep it afloat, an evolutionary survival response.

🗣️ Complex Social Behavior Observed: This interaction between non-kin pods, observed during a four-hour birth event near Dominica, highlights a "very rich social behavior" previously thought to be unique to humans.
