Mr. Florian Schrank from Austria and Ms. Cherry Elaine Joyce from the Philippines visited the Scottish High International School as part of their mission to explore the best international schools in India, and to gather insights on the curriculum and learning experiences. At Scottish High, they took a comprehensive tour of the schoolโs top-notch facilities, gaining firsthand experience of what it is like to be a Highlander at Scottish High.
Their visit was very enriching, filled with valuable insights and meaningful interactions with the students, teachers, and staff, enhancing their global perspective. It also fostered cross-cultural exchange and had a positive impact on the entire school community at Scottish High.

Exploring Food Spoilage and Preservation
Students recently took part in a Collaborative science project where they conducted experiments and researched various food preservation methods. Alongside the scientific work, they discussed the economical, psychological, and social aspects of food spoilage and storage.
Through this project, students demonstrated IB learner profile attributes such as being inquirers, thinkers, and communicators. They developed important Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills like research, critical thinking, and collaboration. The discussions also promoted International mindedness by exploring global food practices and cultural perspectives on preservation.
The project helped students understand the real-world impact of food waste and encouraged them to think responsibly and creatively, fostering both scientific curiosity and social awareness.

Renowned international chef Thierry Le Baut, who has led Michelin-starred kitchens, judged the event and shared his expert insights. From Japan to Spain, students presented indigenous cuisines, cultural artifacts, and traditional attireโseamlessly connecting each culture to their academic explorations through TOK and CAS.
