Continuing our Draw the Diagram series for the NCERT Class 11's Physical Geography Book.

Draw this once seeing the pic and then draw it again without seeing it.

This one will take a little longer because it has a lot of terms

So these are some distinctions students often confuse..

Sill vs. Dyke: It is extremely easy to mix these two up when trying to label a blank diagram.

โ€‹Sill: Magma that pools parallel to the rock layers (horizontal). Trick: Think of a flat windowsill.

โ€‹Dyke: Magma that cuts vertically or diagonally across the rock layers.

โ€‹The "Liths" (Batholith vs. Laccolith):
โ€‹Batholith: This is the massive, deep, irregular foundation of cooled magma at the very bottom.

โ€‹Laccolith: This has a distinct dome shape. Notice in the diagram how it physically pushes layers above it upward into a bulge.

โ€‹Stock vs. Batholith: A stock is easily forgotten, but it is simply a smaller, separate intrusion that looks similar to a bacolith

Let me know if there are any confusions..and react ๐Ÿ‘ once done.

โ€‹Delhi is launching its winter smog strategy 5 months early, mandating 50% WFH starting November 1.

But municipal governance alone isn't enough :

We treat India's water crisis like a weather problem, but it's actually a governance challenge.

As โ€‹Per CEEW, 11 of 15 major river basins are water-stressed. Some have crossed into absolute scarcity.

Today the state is Arunachal Pradesh..

Just 2 so wouldn't take much of your time..

Also a little more clarity about this series..

In this 1st iteration we are just memorizing the names of National parks

In the subsequent iterations we will be adding rivers, prominent species, and other important environmental landmarks in these same maps that you are creating now..

So keep up and if you find this series helpful do ask your friends to join..

Once done react with ๐Ÿ‘

The guns in Iran have gone silent, but the fallout hasn't. Vikram S Mehta breaks down four structural changes reshaping global geopolitics and why India needs to move fast.

America's image as a reliable protector took a hit it couldn't shield even its closest Gulf allies from Iranian retaliation.

"Choke points" like the Strait of Hormuz are now proven weapons โ€” 20% of world oil flows through it, and disruption sent prices soaring to $126/barrel.
OPEC is cracking from within UAE has exited, and other members are reportedly considering the same.

Iran is being quietly rehabilitated as a "responsible" player โ€” and India's old civilisational ties could translate into real energy advantages.

India should triple its strategic petroleum reserves from 8 days to at least 30, ideally 60 to insulate itself from the next shock.
