There are a lot of coaching centers who are good at providing “value additions”

Such value additions make sense when we have already prepared our fundamentals and content so well that the “value additions” add a few extra marks on the base

But, students often fail to understand that it will always be fundamentals, the static part, the thorough current affairs, that get them through

Using the great philosopher Wittgenstein’s words that

“Raisins may be the best part of a cake, but a bag of raisins is not better than a cake”

Praying you do your basics the best and get through this exam at the earliest 😊

Hi All,

Starting today in the next 30 days..

We will be covering the entire 2026 Prelims Paper.

In our new series..we will cover all 100 questions here.

We will discuss in detail not only the questions but also the options..

Since options of today become questions of tomorrow.

We also understand not all questions were supposed to be attempted.. especially in the context of the 2026 Prelims...and some questions were designed to make us panic, So the discussion will be done keeping that aspect in mind.

We will be starting slow with one question today.

If you find this new initiative useful do react with a 👍.

Day 1

Prelims Sleepy Series 2026

Analyzing the Options (The questions of Tomorrow)

(a) Brahmaputra:

Originates in the Tibetan Plateau.
It has an antecedent drainage system.

Flows through exactly three countries China, India and Bangladesh.

The Eliminator is Statement 4 It forms a massive network of distributaries in the Ganges-Brahmaputra Delta i.e the Sundarbans.

(b) Indus:

Originates near Mount Kailash in the Tibetan Plateau.

It has an antecedent drainage system.

Flows through exactly three countries China, India and Pakistan.

The Eliminator is statement 4 again It forms a vast deltaic distributary system in the Sindh province of Pakistan before reaching the Arabian Sea.

(d) Teesta:

The Eliminators are Statements 2 and 3.

The Teesta originates in the Sikkim Himalayas (Pauhunri/Donkia Pass), not the Tibetan Plateau.

Furthermore, it flows through only two countries India and Bangladesh.

The Correct Answer:

(c) Sutlej

Origin: Lake Rakshastal in western Tibet at roughly 4,600 meters above sea level.

Drainage: It is a classic antecedent river, cutting through the rising mountains and entering India through the Shipki La pass.

Countries:
Flows through exactly three countries: China, India, and Pakistan.

Irrigation: It feeds critical infrastructure like the 226m tall Bhakra-Nangal gravity dam.

The Crucial Differentiator is Statement 4

The Sutlej is a tributary that eventually merges into the Chenab to form the Panjnad.

Because it never reaches the sea independently to form a delta, it creates zero distributaries.

Exam Temperament Takeaway is
When multiple options satisfy similar geographical parameters, rely on decisive, objective clues.

Knowing the exact origin of the Teesta and the deltaic nature of the Indus and Brahmaputra is non-negotiable data.

300 years.

That’s how long it will take to clear India’s court backlog at the current pace.

The system isn't just backlogged, It's breaking.

Here is why and how we fix it.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞:

Over 5.39 crore pending cases across the country with 92,000+ in the Supreme Court alone.

It could literally take 3 centuries to clear the pile.
3 out of 4 prisoners currently behind bars are undertrials awaiting their day in court.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞:

The problem isn't individual judges needing rest, but en masse institutional shutdowns.

The Supreme Court sits for only ~190 days a year a colonial relic of mass vacation that we are still clinging to.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐱𝐞𝐬:

Staggered Roster.
Keep courts continuously open by rotating individual judge vacations instead of shutting down entirely.

Scale ADR.
Mainstream Lok Adalats and leverage the Mediation Act 2023 to resolve disputes before they even hit the courtroom.

Use of Retired Judges can also alleviate the situation.

The 11th question is relatively straight forward

They are asking for what we can definitively conclude from the passage..

So we only look for things which have strong evidence..

Statement 1 says sport is a way of life which was directly mentioned so it is correct

Statement 2 says it can help mitigate seclusion among children which is also something clearly implied in the passage, where it.. says "children rarely leave the house and the next line says sport can help tackle..." so this Statement is also correct

Statement 3 is also practically correct because in the beginning of the passage it says..that though getting a job through sports quota is possible but that is not the only desired outcome of sports...and then goes on to list other benefits of playing sports

However we should understand that it certainly is one of the benefits no matter how many more benefits exist..so statement 3 also becomes correct

Statement 4... this is a blatant statement..so even if lets say you can think of one thing for eg. Team work (which is by the way directly mentioned in the passage).

Now team work is a corporate skill that can be learnt through sports.

Which negates the statement so it becomes incorrect.

So answer is D) 1,2 and 3

Now question 12

Statement 1

Nowhere in the passage is there any mention about the encouragement of parents.. so this beyond the scope of the passage so it becomes incorrect

Statement 2 and 3 are both directly mentioned in the passage so they are correct

So option B) 2 and 3 correct

Day 2 of 30

Prelims Sleepy Series
2026

100
questions - 30 days.

Like always we will first try to analyse the options

Nat Bhairavi:

This uses natural Re and Pa, but flat Komal Ga, Dha, and Ni.

It is the exact equivalent of the Hindustani Asavari Thaat.

Kamavardhini:

Also known as Pantuvarali, this scale corresponds to the Hindustani Purvi Thaat.

Hanumatodi:

Often just called Todi in the South..not to be confused with Hindustani Todi, this uses flat Re, Ga, Dha, and Ni.

It is the exact equivalent of the Hindustani Bhairavi Thaat.

The Correct Answer

Dheera Shankarabharanam

Commonly referred to simply as Shankarabharanam, this is the 29th Melakarta raga.

Just like Bilawal, it consists entirely of Shuddha swaras all natural notes without any flat or sharp variations.

Exam Temperament Takeaway is
Questions on classical music scales cannot be derived logically in the exam hall.

They require hard memorization prior to the exam.

This question was classified as a very difficult question by most aspirants.

One of those designed to make us panic so just read the options and be aware.

99% of "gender equality" debates are missing the real crisis.

We argue about the wage gap, but ignore the wealth gap.

Income is what you make today, assets are what keep you alive tomorrow.

𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀

Global indices (e.g., WIR 2026) fixate on income, entirely ignoring the real metric of power: gender wealth and asset inequality.

𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 (𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮)

• High Informality: 86% of working women are in the informal sector.

• Agrarian Reality: 77% work in agriculture (mostly unpaid family labor).

• Land Gap: Women own land in only 12–16% of rural landowning homes.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿

• Safety: Slashes domestic violence and post-breakdown poverty.

• Next Gen: Drives better child survival, health, and education.

• Survival: Secures livelihoods and boosts farm productivity.

𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱

Fix asset disparities within families instead of just measuring general household poverty.

Fix Data Deficits. Mandate gender-disaggregated wealth and land ownership data.

Income pays the bills.

Assets build power.
