9 years ago we started so to change the worldโฆ we were annoyed with the way things wereโฆ in the world of upsc coaching..
9 years have passedโฆ not sure how much world we could change.. but delighted to be able to change the world although of a few..
Teaching is a long game.. you sow seeds.. and at times they take years to grow into full bloom ..
But equally true is the thought that a lot of work is still left.. so many students to teach .. so many minds to reachโฆ
But here we are 9 years have passed
And sleepy just feels like a young startup
Enthusiasm to see the change
Energy to make it happen
This 9 years post is not a self congratulatory, feeling like marketing post
This is a letter to the future
That we made it this far
That means we must be doing something right
Just that we want to be doing it for a lot and a lot and lot of students of India and the world
And here I want to tell you we are so content with our work to know we must be doing something good to come this far but at the same time so dissatisfied to know that this is not it ๐

While AI can drastically cut hospital administrative costs and analyze complex radiology scans, what remains an absolute non-negotiable for its successful deployment?
Expanding Healthcare Access via AI:
AI helps bridge the gap between medical knowledge and patient care, mitigating clinician shortages and extending expertise to smaller cities.
Digital Infrastructure Progress:
India's digital health foundation is growing rapidly, with over 100 crore health records linked to ABHA by May 2026 and outpatient registration wait times drastically reduced through ABDM.
Operational & Economic Efficiencies:
Applying AI to revenue-cycle operations could reduce collection costs by 30% to 60%, while streamlining administrative tasks like scheduling, claims, and inventory.
Clinical & Remote Applications:
AI optimizes radiology scans, prioritizes deteriorating patients, enables post-discharge remote monitoring, and drives risk-based preventive health programs.
Strategic Challenges & Cautions:
Successful deployment requires judicious use, clinical validation, representative data, strict human oversight, and continuous real-world performance tracking.

Surging Import Bill:
Indiaโs edible oil import bill is projected to hit a record โน1.75 trillion due to widening demand-supply gaps, global price spikes, and rupee depreciation.
High Import Dependence:
India imports over half of its edible oil requirements, relying heavily on palm oil from just two countries (Indonesia and Malaysia), exposing the nation to supply chain and geopolitical shocks.
Technology Paradox:
The issue is not a lack of technology, as scientists have developed over 1,000 high-yielding varieties, raising productivity from 4.8 to 14 quintals per hectare, with potential up to 25 quintals.
Flawed Pricing and Procurement:
Current policies push oilseed cultivation onto 75% of non-irrigated, less fertile land because competing crops remain more economically lucrative for farmers.
Lessons from the Past:
The 1980s Technology Mission on Oilseeds succeeded by balancing prices, but collapsed in the 1990s due to diluted authority and overloaded responsibilities.
Way Forward:
Achieving self-reliance requires reforming agricultural pricing to make oilseed cultivation equally remunerative, alongside tapping into non-conventional oil sources like cottonseed and rice bran.

Day 23 Sleepy CSAT PYQ Series Today, we will be looking at an LR Q. We alternate between RC, LR and Quant PYQs in this series. Try to solve it. Solutions will be provided later today.
Answer is 9
โ
โTo get the minimum number of cuts, the cube must be divided as evenly as possible along its three dimensions
So, 4 ร 4 ร 4 = 64 pieces.
Now think about cuts like this
Visualize that
1 cut along one axis makes 2 pieces
2 cuts along one axis makes 3 and so on...
So, The number of cuts required to divide a side into n pieces is n - 1
So, dividing a side into 4 pieces requires 3 cuts.
โAdd the cuts required for all three dimensions (Length + Width + Height)
So, 3 + 3 + 3 = 9 total cuts.
