Itβs early in the morning, at dawn, and a murder of crows are noisily cascading in the snow outside of my window. How all things feel ominous these days. Iβve been away gathering internally, taking a much needed break to refresh and repurpose. To remember.
Which is something that this morning I felt called to share, because I know others that are feeling this same way. So many that are struggling through uncertainty. I want to gather us all around the fire, and sing the bones. Let us remember why we came. The beauty, the love, to share gifts and song. That we were made for these times. That we are made of stars. How silence is not absence. How silence is the language of God.
I look out at these mountains which have held witness for aeons, and still they stand. I remember that there is an ocean that knows me, and light that I have never seen. That there are things carried in the soul that still await expression. Release. And so today, I am listening to Rumi and letting myself be pulled by the things I silently love. I am going to revisit old friends in books and music and art, anoint myself with jasmine and sandalwood, make tea and build a fire that will never go out.
Has anyone reminded you how much you are needed or how greatly you are loved?
Let us all remind each other today. Let darkness be our candle. Wherever and whomever you are, and whatever you do or donβt, be gentle and patient with yourselves and each other.
The source of all is now.

I dream about hijrah
To a nice place far away
With such beautiful nature
And a tiny house to stay
I dream about a river or stream
And a waterfall, so clean
While sitting there thinking of You ο·»
And i fall in love with this scene
I dream about farm life
With animals surrounding me
A rooster that wakes us up for Fajr
What a beautiful place to be
I dream about a mountain
Where the children can play and be free
And in my mind i meet my most beloved ο·Ί
The most beautiful one we could ever see
I dream about a community
With strangers on His path that are awake
Far away from the rat race
Making Dhikr near the lake
I dream about this daily
It's my second biggest wish
The first however is,
Seeing Him in Jannah, eternal bliss
I dream and dream untill i wake up
Reality strikes hard
But now i realise
Time is up. I have to make a start
So from now on i'll do things differently
I'll pray and pray and pray
Untill my dreams come true
And in this beautiful place i can stay
