In 2006, P Chidamabaram was Finance Minister, Arvind Mayaram was Joint Secretory, Ashok Chawla was additional secretory
They formed a company called Security Printing & Minting Corp of India (SPMCIL) and started buying security printing paper (SPP) of Indian currency from a British firm De La Rue, a British company that specializes in the printing of banknotes for central banks around the world
They were well aware that Pakistan was also buying SPP from the same firm. It helped Pakistan to counterfeit Indian currency easily and Pakistan flooded the Indian market with counterfeit currency
When Pranav Mukherjee became FM in 2010 he blacklisted this company but as Chidambaram again became FM in 2012 he again started buying from this company
Indian counterfeit currency helped Pakistan economy a lot and Pakistan made huge profit from it
When Modi became PM in 2014, he immediately stopped this and filed FIR against Arvind Mayaram
