I texted both of my legislators the current talking point. It is so quick and easy and yet direct communication from their constituents is the most effective way to influence them. Please get out your texts!
Talking Point 4/1 to 4/10! Please send to state legislators.
Data Republican looked at IRS 990 filings to determine that Mormon Women for Ethical Government received $905,000 from out-of-state funding by organizations that do not hold the same values that utahns do. Please support legislation that requires disclosure of out-of-state funding for organizations that lobby the Utah State legislature.

In January Gavin Newsom ridiculed Dr. Oz for investigating hospice fraud in CA and said the investigations were purely political.
Since then, Oz has closed down 221 fraudulent hospice businesses in Los Angeles alone.
Gavin don't be angry. You've been campaigning for years. Someone has to do your job.

Let's get this passed in Utah!

Iowa’s law bans any instruction about ‘sexual orientation’ or ‘gender identity’ through sixth grade, prohibits explicit books in schools libraries, and strengthens parents’ rights.
We have Medicaid fraud right here in the State of Utah!
A new audit was released from the Office of the Utah State Auditor
(the Office) which highlights significant issues with the state’s Skilled Nursing Facility Upper
Payment Limit (SNF UPL) Medicaid program, revealing that only 49% of the nearly $1 billion
intended for patient care was used at the nursing facilities from 2016 to 2024. The remaining
51% was retained by the Non-State Government Entities (NSGEs) as administrative fees.

I am at an open house right now for Karianne Lisonbee. She is talking about where she has served in the past. She has been strong on crime and participated in a lot of judicial reform. Justice Reform Initiative was passed before her time in the Utah legislature. It decriminalized a lot of crime. It made Utah less safe and she has played an important part in undoing it. There is still work to be done.
If you're on X, please follow me at @utahcitizens
Thanks!
Thanks!

The Utah State Auditor's office just released an audit that showed only 49% of the nearly one billion dollars intended for the Skilled Nursing Facility Medicaid program actually went to patient care. The rest was used for administrative costs. This is the misuse of medicaid funds. Please work with the citizens to ensure this is corrected.

We have a lot of work to do right here in Utah to stop fraud. This audit shows that over 500 million was used to administer the Skilled Nursing Facility Program. That should make every citizen's blood boil. Think of all the families barely making it and the money that is being taken from them to pay for these outlandish "administrative" costs. This is an issue Utah Citizens for the Constitution will be working on. We represent the tax payer.

UVU should be ashamed for asking such a controversial speaker for graduation. It doesn't put the school in a good light.

Jason Chaffetz is absolutely correct here. @UVU should be ashamed of themselves.
This was in the email update from the Public Interest Legal Foundation:
Voter roll access lawsuit against Utah heads to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Last week, PILF filed its opening brief before the court, arguing in part: “Utah is refusing to comply with federal law making the requested election records public. Instead, the defendant only allows a fraction of the public records to be seen by the public. The rest is concealed. In the State’s largest county, Salt Lake County, nearly one-third of the public records are withheld from the public. Concealing these records violates federal law.” Read the brief here.

In Bountiful there was a zoning meeting last week with a proposal to change the zoning of an area near my home from four dwellings an acre to mixed use. They want to tear down the existing duplex and on 1/3 of an acre build 7 townhomes 35' tall and a coffee shop down a bit and across from Boulton Elementary. This push for density housing must stop. It is not creating affordable housing, but it is making a lot of money for developers. That is what this comes down to. This is happening all over Utah. It is detrimental to our communities.
In Bountiful there are 123 available rentals and there 70 properties (condo, townhomes, single family ) for sale right now. It is very important that citizens know we do not have a current shortage of housing or rentals. We do have a shortage of affordable housing. What the government is doing in Utah is not making housing affordable. With the rampant use of Public Infrastructure Districts it is making housing more expensive. PIDs must be stopped. It is the developers that are making massive amount of profits. Do remember that some of the legislators are benefiting financially from PIDs.
