Hannah Smith sewed this blessing gown while on the Mormon trail in 1863. What a beautiful blessing dress. This is a pic from the new Utah Museum.
If we want the next generation to get into homes we need to work together to stop people entering the country illegally.

HUD just put out a report and found that between 2021 and 2024, the foreign-born population in our country increased by six million people – the largest such influx over such a short period in American history. We cannot forego the thought that because a record number of illegal aliens came to our country under Biden, prices have risen and supply has been squeezed.

This was published in “The Bond Buyer” magazine last week. That is in millions and is only the first 6 months of this year. Look at the name Piper Sandler. They have made 621 million underwriting the PID bonds. Guess who was spearheading the passage of SB 228 back in 2019 that created PIDs? None other than Piper Sandler. Follow the money. Piper Sandler wasn't the least bit concerned how PIDs would increase costs for citizens and allow taxation without representation. Look at the money they are making.
During the August interim I attended the political subdivisions committee. The topic was if PID debt is a component unit of the cities. This means do the cities have to include the PID bonds on their financial sheets. Please remember PID ponds are sold as municipal bonds. I think there is a reasonable expectation by bond buyers that the city will back those. If they have to be component units it will make cities more reluctant to approve them. Gilmore & Bell presented and made the argument they do not need to be component units. Gilmore & Bell represent DA Davidson. DA Davidson has made 706 million dollars underwriting the PID bonds. I think that needed to be disclosed when they presented. They are not a neutral party.
I was at the Capitol today and had to take a picture of this dress.
Dominion machines switched votes in the 2020 election. Salt Lake County uses Dominion machines.
Utah Citizens for the Constitution - Jen Brown pinned «Talking Point for 8/31 - 9/12! Please send to state legislators. Utah code 10-8-1 intentionally gives cities and counties jurisdiction over their land. The division of power is important in a state to protect the rights of the citizens. I am very concerned…»
This presentation was given by the state auditor at the gov ops interim committee last Wednesday. Over half of the PIDs are not compliant with what they are supposed to be reporting.
This is a very concerning stat. There are 150 PIDs that haven't issued their municipal bonds yet. PIDs can issue municipal bonds as if they were a government entity and then have tax payers pay off the bonds. Right now we have 5.3 billion in PID debt for Utah. Look at how much higher the debt is going to go when more bonds are issued. Never in a Constitutional Republic should an unelected PID board be allowed to issue a tax. This is dangerous territory for our freedoms. This puts us in a tenuous economic position.
The total PID ( public infrastructure districts) and IFD (infrastructure financing districts) is 5.3 billion. It is tax dollars that pay these bonds. These are costs the developers used to have to finance themselves as part of doing business. A series of laws passed have allowed them to shift these costs to the citizens. It is a very bad deal for the tax payer and the profits for the developers have gone through the roof.
We must repeal so many laws that have been passed that give developers special privileges to use tax dollars to develop land, but all the profits go to the developers.

"At the root of this Mafia-sounding threat from Waldrip and Cox is the Utah Preliminary Municipalities Act. This bad policy gem enacted by the 2024 Legislature allows a real estate developer to write his own zoning. The owner (or up to three owners) of “undeveloped” land a quarter mile or more from an existing municipality can petition the lieutenant governor to form a “preliminary municipality.” Wasatch and Summit counties have objected to the Preliminary Municipality Act because it eliminates local planning."

We need Democrats that love the Constitution to take a stand against this rise of socialism. Socialism makes everyone poor.

Nearly every House Democrat voted against a Republican-led resolution condemning socialism, giving Republicans fresh campaign material for the upcoming midterm elections amid the rise of the cancerous Democratic Socialists of America within the increasingly unhinged left-wing party.

The abuse of tax dollars just keeps on going.
I am done with arguments for illegal immigration. Just imagine if your mom were murdered by this illegal alien. We must have the rule of law. It is time for accountability for those that allowed gang members and even worse criminals onto our soil. It is a human rights violation.
