Developers using tax dollars for private gain must be stopped!

We are the highest taxed Republican state. We need to protect the citizens from further tax increases by raising the threshold for initiatives. That is why I support Amendment B.
Mr. Friedman is completely right. Education is not an enumerated power found in the Constitution for the federal government. Remember, if it isn't in the Constitution specifically it is reserved to the states and the people. School choice is absolutely crucial as there has become a radical element within the education community that wants to indoctrinate and sexualize the youth. Parents must protect their kids and are responsible for their education.

I joined this webinar earlier this week about election integrity. Cleta Mitchell started Election Integrity Network. She said Utah elections are a lot like California's elections. That is not a good thing. We have mail-in ballots with no voter ID. This is not a good combination and creates an environment where elections are easier to manipulate. Utah needs to make some changes! We need to let our legislators know that we want secure elections.

The boys had a great time at Zion National Park today!
I was not too happy when I found out they hiked Angels Landing. I am glad I didn't know.
FACT about MIDA

MIDA projects are literally a carve out of our Constitutional Republic. MIDA governs itself 63H-1-202(2)(b). This should not be happening. This must be changed by the legislature. If Box Elder County wondered why it couldn't do a referendum, it is because MIDA is not subject to one.

MIDA does not have to adhere to the land use zoning or regulatory authority of the cities or counties. MIDA becomes the sole land use authority and exercises exclusive police power just like a municipality would.
MIDA is supposed to follow the OPMA (Open Public Meetings Act), but is carved out of the requirement for anchor locations.

MIDA does NOT have to have an anchor location. 63H-1-202(7)

An “anchor location” is a designated physical place where the public can attend and monitor the open portions of an electronic (or hybrid) meeting of a public body. These laws exist so government actions and deliberations stay open and transparent. Requiring a physical site keeps that principle intact even when some or all members of the body join electronically.
We saw Grease at Tuachan tonight. I have a happy husband and boys that BYU and the Utes won.
Article 1 of the Constitution creates the two parts of Congress.

Section 2 creates the House of Representatives. Each state gets representatives based on the state population. They must be at least 25 years old and be a citizen for 7 years.

Section 3 creates the Senate. Each state gets two senators. They must be 30 years old and a citizen for 9 years. The vice president breaks a tie vote.

Congress is both the house and the senate.
I did a lot of work for the conference today. I invited several people individually. I think it is going to be a great event! I am meeting with some of the legislators on Wednesday to talk about PID bills for the session and to share more details about the Grand Hyatt Development with them.
If anyone has a larger prize we could use for a raffle at the conference let me know. I am hoping we can raise some money to help cover the costs.
This is Dave Sanchez. He came from the Securities and Exchange Commission. He said in his experience one way to elevate the risk to tax dollars is to move away from a board directly elected by the people. This is happening in Utah. The public infrastructure district boards are appointed and serve the interest of the developer. This is why Public Infrastructure Districts should never have been created. This is Taxation without Representation.
Today I attended Utah's Accountability and Transparency Conference. I was definitely glad I attended the conference. It focused a lot on public infrastructure districts and the ability of non-governmental entities to issue municipal bonds and tax citizens. My organization stands for the taxpayer and knows that an unelected body should never be able to issue taxation.
What does Article 1 section 7 of the Constitution say?

It explains how a bill becomes a law. All bills must pass both houses of Congress (house and Senate) in the exact same form. Bills that pass both houses are sent to the president. He can either sign the bill in which case it becomes law or he can veto it. If he vetoes a bill, it is sent back to Congress and if both houses pass it by a 2/3s majority, the bill becomes law over the president's veto. This is known as overriding a veto.
Harmeet explained that many of these states (including Utah) will not cooperate with the federal government, but are handing the voter roll data to ERIC. ERIC is a private organization started by a left-wing activist. Remember if the LG says she is trying to protect the privacy of Utah voters, it is all a facade.
