🎼16 September 1925. A child was born in a cotton plantation near the town of Itta Bena, Mississippi: his name was Riley B. King and he was destined to become one of the most influential guitarists 🎸 in contemporary music history, worldwide known (and worshipped) as B.B. King, "The King of the Blues".
He is quoted by almost every prominent blues and rock #guitarist as one of their biggest influence, having introduced in 50s music a completely innovative style of guitar solos! 👏🔝
I was lucky enough to see him live exactly 20 years ago, an unforgettable night 🤟🎸🔥
#BBKing passed away on May 14, 2015 aged 89, his heritage is and will forever be invaluable!
In the Chat Room one of his tremendous stage performances, of course he was a great bluesman singer too, and my B.B. King concert ticket of 1 July 2001👇
