👨🎨📜27 August 1576. Tiziano, one of the most famous painters of the #Renaissance, passes away of pest in Venice: due to the plague spread all over the city his body can't have a proper burial😔
Tiziano Vecellio was born in Pieve di Cadore (my birthplace too!😉) in the Dolomites and spent all his lifetime painting in Venice, where he became the most prominent artist of the time🔝🔝🔝
Together with #Giorgione, he founded the distinctive Venetian school of Italian Renaissance painting, which achieved much of its effect through colour and mood, opposed to the Florentine painting, relied on a more linear style.
#Tiziano also became the first artist enterpreneur, his promotional and sales skills made him the richest painter in town!💰
In the pictures 📸☝️Tiziano's self portrait, his birth house in the #Dolomites (today museum) and his best work (IMO), the stunning and revolutionary Pala of Maria Assunta inside the Basilica dei Frari in Venice❤️🔥
I often take there #myguests

🎼27-28 August 1991. 30 years ago, some months after the unrivaled #TempleOfTheDog (see news on May 6☝️), Pearl Jam release their legendary debut album Ten.
Nirvana would release Smells Like Teen Spirit in some days and thanks to these 2 bands the Seattle Sound, later labeled as Grunge, went straight to #1 in the charts! 🤟🔝
Ten in my opinion is #PearlJam masterpiece, never repeated in their long career: each song is a gem in this album, so I choose the opening track.
Do you have any favorite from Ten? Post it in the Chat Room👇😃 #27August
