👨‍🎨 5 March 1696. Born in Venice Giovanni Battista Tiepolo also known as Gianbattista, a prominent painter of the Rococo and Neoclassical styles, considered important member of the 18th-century Venetian school. That's what we say a Family of Artists, Gianbattista married the sister of Francesco #Guardi (another great Venetian Painter of the time) and had 2 sons both great painters, Giandomenico Tiepolo and Lorenzo Tiepolo. You can find Gianbattista #Tiepolo works in all most important art museums of cities such as Madrid, New York, Washington, Melbourne, Lisbon, Stockholm, Berlin, Rome, Milan, Bergamo, Padua... In Venice of course you can admire most of his paintings and frescoes in various locations, like the Accademia Galleries, Ca' Rezzonico Museum, Scuola Grande di San Rocco, San Stae Church, Sant'Alvise Church and in some private palaces. In the Chat Room 👇I post some of his paintings/frescoes in Venice...
