🎼🔥 RIP Jon Zazula, the guy on the right in the picture above 📸☝️
He was the owner of Rock'n'Roll Heaven, a legendary small record shop opened in 1981 in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
Zazula became a central figure of the East Coast Heavy⚡️Metal scene, because he regularly played demo tapes sent to him through his underground tape-trading network... those were the days! 🤘
One day he received in his shop a demo tape from an unknown band in San Francisco playing Metal never heard before: Zazula and his wife Marsha decided to found a record label to publish the debut album of that band... the label was called Megaforce, the band was called Metallica, their debut album Kill'em All ❤️🔥
#Megaforce became soon the label of most of the 1980s Thrash Metal bands 👏
#JonZazula was Jewish, not a minor detail, read an interesting story about record labels 👉 here.
Marsha Zazula passed away 1 year ago, January 2021, Jon reached her today 🙏
