🎼7 April 1978. A new band from UK, The Police release their first single Roxanne, it is included in their debut album Outlandos D'Amour which will follow some months later. It tells the story of a man falling in love with a prostitute and BBC radio refuses the airplay 😳... in the middle of the punk explosion age 🤔
The #Police tour the US a year later and Roxanne eventually becomes their most succesful hit... thus bringing back UK radios to some reasoning 👍🤟 Maybe some of you will recognize the band's singer 😉 #7April #Sting

🎼2 October 1951. Happy 70th (!!!) Birthday 🥳🍾to Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, born in Wallsend, England and worldwide known as Sting.
When he left for #London in the 70s in search of fortune in rock music he could not imagine he would become one of the best selling artists ever 😳👏 (more than 100million albums in his career with the #Police and solo).
I post one of his songs I always loved, when it came out in 1985 it was a shocking anthem for the Cold War period the world was living! 🤟
If you have any #Sting favorite you can post it in the Chat Room👇😃
