⭐️ Speaker Spotlight – DevFest Addis 2025
Thrilled to have KinfeMichael Tariku speaking at DevFest Addis 2025.
KinfeMichael Tariku is a self-taught engineer, Core Maintainer of Better Auth, Creator of FarmUI, and the author of several open-source projects used by developers worldwide. After leaving university in his third year to pursue software full-time, he built his path through community-driven engineering, real-world problem solving, and consistently shipping in public.
As one of Ethiopia’s emerging open-source voices, Kinfe has experienced how OSS can accelerate skill growth, expand your network beyond borders, and even become a meaningful source of income. His journey reflects a mindset where open source isn’t just a way to contribute. it’s a practical shortcut for building credibility, earning opportunities, and taking smart, balanced risks that move your career forward.
At DevFest Addis, he will share insights on how open source can open unexpected doors, how it has shaped his own growth financially and professionally, and how developers can leverage OSS to take calculated risks that lead to real, global impact.
