📈 Bitcoin Holds $84,000 as US Treasury Yields Hit 19-Year Highs
US 10-year Treasury yields surged to 5.18% on Thursday, the highest level since 2007. While rising yields typically pressure risk assets, Bitcoin (BTC) remained resilient, trading near $84,000 after briefly dipping below $83,000 during US market hours.
The yield spike follows a $6 billion US Treasury bond buyback program. Analysts suggest that potential Japanese currency intervention to support the Yen could add further pressure to the Treasury market if Japan sells US securities.
Amid the macro volatility, Ondo Finance (ONDO) rallied to the $0.50 level. The surge follows the launch of BlackRock-backed Ondo Intelligent Portfolios, which allow non-US users to trade tokenized shares in diversified investment strategies.
