"Hey @DCT\_MGT, I recently received a copyright strike from you guys for my "Top 5 BEST Green Hill Zone Music Tracks" and was given the email rentalkats@gmail.com to contact you, but I can't find that email anywhere on your site. Is this you?"

“UPDATE: Turns out someone is posing as DCT Entertainment and claiming a whole bunch of YouTube videos containing Green Hill Zone music. Is there anything you can do about this @RubyEclipse?”

“Turns out a company from Ethiopia called DCT Entertainment Inc. filed a copyright takedown notice on a really old video of Sonic the Hedgehog that I did years ago. Why they did this? I don't know but I am getting in touch with my network to get this rescinded.”

“I actually tried to reach them and they said that in order to use the copyright, you have to pay for it. I call it blackmail and YouTube allows this.”

“@TeamYouTube Two videos on my channel have been falsely claimed. Might you be able to look into these false manual copyright claims?”

If there are any YouTube creators reading this right now, I strongly advise you back up your videos as soon as you possibly can in case something like this happens to you.

2019 October - GamerThumbTV’s channel has been hacked for nearly 2 weeks now, and YouTube “Support” has been giving him very little communication/updates. #CreatorsMustLeaveYouTube

Update: https://twitter.com/GamerThumbTV/status/1187020645630205952

So i guess he got it back. Better late then never, i suppose. Still, i really don’t think this should have taken nearly 2 weeks. And YouTube definitely should have done a better job communicating.
