📢 Ad Blocker Developer Summit 2026 is less than two weeks away!
On November 3–4, ad blocker developers, browser engineers, filter list maintainers, and privacy researchers will gather in Copenhagen under our original name — and for the first time ever, the summit will run across two stages.
This year, we have five speakers from AdGuard in the lineup — but we’re saving them for dessert and will tell you all about their talks in a separate post. For now, here is a taste of what our guest speakers are bringing to the table:
• Oliver Dunk and Devlin Cronin (Google) — What’s new in Chrome. A summit classic: direct updates from the Chrome Extensions team on where the platform is heading. Also from Google, Thomas Steiner will dive into cross-origin storage and blocking hashes
• Cornelius Witt (eyeo) — The AI industry is about to repeat all the mistakes of the ad blocking wars. Our co-organizers at eyeo are also bringing talks by Wen-Yu Chung on differentially private attribution and Michelle McDowell on user misconceptions about home network privacy
• Summit regulars and fresh faces — We’re excited to welcome back familiar faces like Anton Lazarev and Ryan Brown (Brave), Sam Macbeth (DuckDuckGo), Tina Chenska (Opera), Rob Wu (Mozilla), and Cameron Eckelberry and Mohamed Elgendi (Malwarebytes). At the same time, plenty of first-timers are making their summit debut — including Ajay Ramachandran (SponsorBlock), Babak Farrokhi (Quad9) and Thomas Steiner (Google)
• Our first-ever Privacy Panel — In past years, we’ve hosted panels on browsers and filters. This time, alongside our traditional Browser Panel, we’re running a dedicated Privacy Panel for the very first time to discuss why everyone agrees we need privacy-enhancing tech — yet almost nobody uses it
Swipe the cards to meet some of our guest speakers — and tomorrow, we’ll share what Team AdGuard is bringing to the stage!

🎤 Yesterday we introduced some of our guest speakers for Ad Blocker Dev Summit 2026. Today, let’s look at what Team AdGuard is bringing to Copenhagen on November 3–4!
From AI-driven fingerprinting to CNAME cloaking and Apple Mail trackers, our team is tackling some of the trickiest problems in ad blocking right now:
• Natalia Sokolova (UX Writer at AdGuard) — The shadow theater: Frontend persona spoofing against AI-driven network and behavioral fingerprinting. How trackers use AI to profile your behavior — and how we can fool them.
• Elizaveta Egorova (Software Engineer, AdGuard) and Dmitrii Seregin (Team Lead Filters Infra, AdGuard) — How to extend the CNAME list: Finding trackers hidden behind proxies. A deep look into uncovering disguised trackers that try to bypass filter lists.
• Maxim Topciu (Browser Extensions Team Lead) — Automating filter reports with an AI agent. How AI agents can help filter developers process user reports faster and keep filter lists sharp.
• Evgenii Neshumov (Project Manager) — Blocking without feedback: Mail tracker protection inside Apple Mail. What it takes to block hidden email trackers when the mail client gives you almost zero feedback.
• And as a special bonus: Alongside our speakers, AdGuard’s CTO and co-founder Andrey Meshkov will take the stage to moderate the fan-favorite Browser Panel, bringing together engineers from Google, Mozilla, Brave, Opera, and DuckDuckGo.

🛡️ AdGuard for Windows v7.22.10: security update
Last week, in response to the eMudhra CA incident, we rolled out a security patch on the AdGuard for Windows release channel (v8.0.3). Now, we’re bringing that same fix to v7.22.10. Updating a legacy branch is an unusual step for us once a new major release is out, but we never leave our users behind and want to ensure everyone stays protected.
How to update:
Please note that if you’re currently on v7.22.9, this update will not arrive automatically. To get the fix, please download the installer manually and run it:
👉 Download the installer
What’s changed?
We’ve blocklisted the compromised certificates. HTTPS filtering will not run on domains using these certificates — connections will instead be validated directly by your browser.
Safe browsers:
• Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, and Vivaldi have already revoked these certificates via Google CRLSet
• Firefox — via Mozilla OneCRL

A protective salt circle against digital monsters 🎃🧂
The Winchester brothers from Supernatural taught us well: if you see something evil, reach for the salt. A line of rock salt at the threshold or a solid circle around the bed creates an impenetrable barrier against ghosts and demons.
Digital monsters — trackers, phishing traps, and obnoxious ads — are always lurking nearby, ready to sneak into your computer, phone, or smart TV the second they get a chance. So, how do you keep them out?
Draw a digital salt circle around all your devices with AdGuard DNS. It blocks requests to malicious and ad-serving domains right at the network perimeter. Instead of finding an open door, digital ghouls will run straight into a brick wall.
How to lay down the “salt” in 1 minute:
• Android: Settings ➔ Network & internet ➔ Private DNS ➔ enter dns.adguard-dns.com
• iOS: visit adguard-dns.io and install the ready-made configuration profile in a couple of taps.
• Windows / macOS: enter DNS 94.140.14.14 and 94.140.15.15 in your network properties (or simply download the pre-configured profile for Mac from adguard-dns.io).
• Router (covers every device in your home): enter DNS 94.140.14.14 and 94.140.15.15 in your router’s settings.
P.S. If you want to see stats on all the “exorcised spirits” and customize your own blocking rules, check out Private AdGuard DNS.
👻 No dark magic — just a clean and safe internet.

Custom profiles were introduced in v2.10 to help you tailor VPN setups for work, streaming, or casual browsing. However, having options scattered across different tabs caused some confusion.
With AdGuard VPN Browser Extension v2.12, we gave profiles a well-deserved UX upgrade:
• Reorganized settings: Profile-specific options (Exclusions, DNS, Block WebRTC) are now clearly separated from global preferences (Theme, Language) inside a single, clean menu.
• Unified Quick connect: Pick the fastest server, your last-used location, or a specific country — all from one screen.
• Easier switching and management: Your active profile is now visible right under the connect button. Plus, a handy shortcut in the sidebar lets you switch setups or open Manage profiles from any screen.

AdGuard VPN Browser Extension v2.12: Managing custom profiles just got easier
In v2.12, we redesigned the layout for faster, easier profile management: a unified settings menu split into global and profile options, an all-in-one Quick connect section, and one-click profile switchers in the main popup and sidebar.
