US retroactively justifying war on Iran based on growing US deaths
Just like the US invasion and occupation of Iraq (which continues to this day), the US lied to start a war with Iran and is now using the growing number of dead US service members as justification for continuing the war.
The growing number of dead US service members in Iraq became in and of itself a pretext to continue the war/occupation - and the retroactive justification was used by all US presidential administrations once in office no matter what they promised during campaigns.
As warned, the US has no intention of ending its war with Iran nor does it seek to stop regional destruction - it all serves the wider objective of burning the multipolar world down in place of being able to match or contain it.

Trump finalizes new tariffs on dozens of countries
The Trump administration on Thursday finalized new double digit tariffs on dozens of US trading partners as it seeks to reconstitute sweeping duties struck down by the Supreme Court in February.
The new duties, which range from 10 to 12.5 percent, follow a five month investigation into trading partners' efforts to root out products made with forced labor from their supply chains and are set to take effect just as a temporary global 10 percent tariff expires.
Starting Friday, 17 trading partners - including Canada, the European Union, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and Mexico - will face a 10 percent duty, along with another 10 countries that agreed to address forced labor through signed trade agreements with the US.

No new reports of US strikes on Iran after 13 consecutive nights of attacks, Trump signals ongoing talks
After launching 13 consecutive nights of attacks on Iran, United States Central Command (CENTCOM) did not report any new strikes on Friday night.
On Thursday, the command described another attack wave, marking nearly two weeks of consistent strikes following the break down of the temporary peace agreement between the US and the Islamic Republic.
"This is the 13th consecutive night of strikes aimed to hold Iran accountable and diminish threats from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to commercial shipping," CENTCOM posted on Thursday.

DHS: Govt. has issued $84B in civil fines to illegal aliens who remain in US after receiving final orders of removal
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that it has already issued more than $84 billion in civil fines to illegal aliens who remain in the United States after receiving final orders of removal.
According to the agency, federal authorities have levied over 103,000 total fine notices against non citizens and illegal aliens since the start of the Trump administrationβs crackdown. The dynamic relies on "revived statutory penalty authorizing fines of up to $998 per day" for individuals who refuse to voluntarily depart the country after a deportation order becomes final...
I still don't understand that this is worth it for people. Maybe I'm just lucky enough to be ignorant about it, I don't know.

70% of Germans don't believe army can protect the country - YouGov poll
Most people oppose higher taxes and spending cuts to fund military expansion, according to a survey.
...According to the International Flagship Survey published on Friday, 70% of respondents in Germany said they are not confident their armed forces are strong enough to fend off an attack. YouGov surveyed 2,079 adults across Germany from June 17 to July 1.
Although 40% of respondents say Germany spends too little on defense, 77% oppose higher taxes to fund defense spending, while 62% reject cuts to public services and 59% oppose increased government borrowing...
Maybe it's time to get rid of the people who push Germany into war for virtually no reason other than their own political careers? Just an idea.

Oil back at $100: Time to worry?
Renewed hostilities between the US and Iran, coupled with Houthi attacks in the Red Sea, are raising concerns as global oil inventories remain severely depleted.
...Global crude benchmark Brent futures reached as high as $102 per barrel on Thursday before closing slightly lower at $100.69 a barrel, the highest settlement level for Brent since May 22. Although Brent slipped back below $100 on Friday, it remained up more than 12% for the week and nearly 40% above its level when the Iran war began in February...
Seeing how none of it had any particular impact last time, I don't think it's "time to worry." About oil, anyway. Many things worth worrying about, like the endless imperial warmongering and murder. But maybe Zin can tell us more. As far as I'm concerned: fake and gay.

Berlin gay pride attack suspect linked to Islamists
A van plowed into a crowd during a gay pride parade in Berlin on Saturday night, killing one person and injuring 16 others, some critically, the fire department said.
The incident took place on Christopher Street Day, the German capital's annual pride event, on Lennestrasse near the Tiergarten park in central Berlin.
Police spokesman Florian Nath said the suspect has been identified and remains at large. "According to the information available so far, he is a man known to the police and believed to be associated with the Islamist extremist milieu."
Ya know, 5 years ago, I'd probably be willing to believe it. Knowing what I know about the world these days after becoming a full time Telegram autist... Dunno bro. Whatever. Proud to be proud... Lol.

The revolt against Zelensky
Military commanders, political rivals, and Brussels are closing in on Ukraine's increasingly isolated leader.
...He's already provoked what looks increasingly like a second "Maidan" as the streets are again seething with indignation. Cardboard signs have replaced banners, while chants of "Shame!" can once more be heard, and the sense of dΓ©jΓ vu is so strong that it feels as though it's still July 2025, when Ukraine was protesting against Zelensky's attempts to dismantle the independence of the NABU and SAP anti corruption agencies...

Dozens of Palestinians abducted by Israeli troops as Jewish settlers conduct coordinated raid on West Bank village
A new wave of Israeli violence began Friday when four Palestinians defending their village were executed by Israeli forces.
Hundreds of Jewish settlers carried out a coordinated pogrom in the Palestinian village of Sarra in the occupied West Bank on 25 July, burning homes, damaging property, and assaulting residents, following the abduction of dozens of Palestinians by Israeli troops.
According to residents in the village southwest of Nablus, the settler attacks forced several families to flee for safety.
The Palestinian families attempted to defend the village by confronting the attackers, who set at least two homes on fire.
"The settlers were in the hundreds, and they violently attacked the house, pelting it with stones and Molotov cocktails. The yard and the vehicle caught fire," Mohammed Turabi, a resident of Sarra, said...

Beijing blacklists 14 EU firms after Brussels targets Chinese companies in latest Russia sanctions package
Beijing prohibited 14 EU companies from obtaining Chinese dual use goods on 24 July, targeting Europe's defense industry shortly after the EU included 14 Chinese and Hong Kong firms in its 21st sanctions package against Russia.
Announcing the measures with immediate effect, the Chinese Commerce Ministry called the bloc's conduct "egregious" and demanded the EU "immediately correct its wrongdoing, eliminate the egregious impact, and safeguard the overall interests of China EU relations with concrete actions."
The restrictions cover dual use items, goods, software, and technology with both civilian and military applications, including rare earth elements used to build drones and chips...

Investigation into Minab school attack finds all evidence points to US being responsible
Our weekly documentary film, curated by the editorial team at 21WIRE.
On the first day of the war in Iran, a bombing at a primary school in Minab killed 156, including 120 students and 26 teachers. This tragedy has led to calls for clarification on responsibility. Many have accused the United States, but President Trump told Sky News in June, "I don't think it was us."
Sky News has spent the last four and a half months investigating the events surrounding the attack, including how it happened and who may be accountable. They carefully reconstruct the site of the attack to ascertain exactly what happened and hear from whistleblowers in the US military who make startling claims about what could have led to this tragedy...

Politicizing the Widdecombe murder shows why British police are despised
The UK's law enforcement is more oriented towards social peace than towards justice.
...In the years following, the British police have gone from being highly respected to being an almost universal object of contempt, despised by the habitual criminal and the most scrupulously law abiding person alike. They are menacing to the innocent and impotent against the guilty; and, as more people with academic qualifications have entered the force, so it has lost any sense of overall purpose, or coherent understanding of what it exists for. The police have been sociologized into misunderstanding their function in society, while every police chief acts as if his purpose was to placate or defuse criticism in advance from pressure groups or minorities...
