US used "virtually all" its tactical ballistic missiles during war on Iran - Reuters
The agency's sources appear to confirm reports circulating since April of a crisis in Washington's stockpiles.
...Multiple media reports and independent assessments have signaled shortages of critical sophisticated munitions in the US inventory since a Center for Strategic and International (CSIS) report published in April. Apart from draining the Pentagon's attack capabilities, the conflict is believed to have put a major dent in the US stock of anti aircraft missiles. The country's leadership has repeatedly denied such assertions, insisting it still has plenty of munitions...

The US NED has only grown since Trump's fake "defunding" stunt
Not only did the Trump administration not "defund" or "dismantle" the US National Endowment for Democracy or USAID - it has dumped more money into both while simply hiding both better from what had been growing public awareness.
The NED has published its 2025 annual report (here: https://www.ned.org/national-endowment-for-democracy-2025-annual-report/) meaning it continued undermining nations worldwide and advancing regime change in targeted nations AFTER Trump claimed to defund/dismantle it.
The NED under Trump has continued to spend money to consolidate control over US captured nations like Syria while quietly flooding money into so called "independent media."
As warned, the Trump administration not only wasn't going to stop the course of US continuity of agenda, it has only accelerated it while deliberately lying, claiming and posing to do the opposite.

Western Media admits US-Ukraine drones strikes on retailers in Russia is solely political
Damaging Wildberries, Russia's massive online retailer, is admittedly being done to bring the US proxy war on Russia directly to Russia's civilian population - violence for political, not defensive motives, is literally the definition of terrorism.
Of course, the war is waged and directed by the US simply through Ukraine - the recent escalation is another reminder that the US can directly strike at and hurt Russia but Russia cannot strike/harm or even credibly threaten the US - simply strike at and destroy Ukraine - a completely disposable proxy from Washington's point of view.
Strategically this will not change the course of the war in Ukraine, but it does raise the costs for Russia further, one of the US' primary objectives in waging the proxy war.
@brianlovethailand
The price keeps rising for Russia, while staying the same for us. Also a great 5D chess strategy, I'm sure. All aboard the Anchorage Express!

Trump frequently speaks by phone with the new Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Kevin Warsh, after having sharply criticized the policies of his predecessor, Jerome Powell, according to the WSJ.
Trump seeks Warsh's advice on how the conflict in Iran and the rapid development of artificial intelligence are impacting the economy, the newspaper reports, citing informed sources.
It is noted that it remains unclear whether the President and the head of the Federal Reserve discussed U.S. monetary policy.
Surely, they just talk about the weather...

Why Israel keeps striking Gaza despite US brokered ceasefire
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the Board of Peace roadmap, ruling out an IDF withdrawal from the enclave.
Israel has continued military operations in Gaza, intensifying strikes since US President Donald Trump's announcement of a "historic agreement" to implement the next phase of the ceasefire.
Dozens of Palestinians, including women and children, have been killed or wounded in recent days. Although Hamas accepted the proposal, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ruled out withdrawing from the enclave...

Patel noted that adversaries continue to seek attacks using illegal aliens, sympathetic US citizens and foreign nationals, requiring agents to balance patience with timely action to dismantle entire networks while building strong cases for prosecution.
Because of President Trump's leadership, this FBI has swept away years of waste, cut bloated contracts, canceled the unnecessary $5 billion headquarters project, and restored accountability to how we spend taxpayer dollars...

Trump orders 15% tariff on key chip material to challenge China
The new measures target a strategic supply chain as Washington and Beijing deepen their technology rivalry.
The US has introduced new trade measures targeting imports of polysilicon, a crucial material used in semiconductors and solar panels, a move that marks a further escalation in the ongoing technology rivalry with China. President Donald Trump signed an executive order late Thursday, which imposes a 15% tariff and establishes minimum import prices for polysilicon and related products, with measures scheduled to come into effect in December...

Enough with "theater diplomacy" - Iran's top negotiator to Trump
The US president will gain nothing from bullying, broken promises, and fake news, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has said.
...In the following days, the US president insisted that the two sides were "having very good discussions," but warned that Iran would be "hit very hard" if the Strait of Hormuz, through which around one fifth of the world's seaborne oil passes, was not reopened "very soon." Tehran has repeatedly denied holding any direct negotiations with the Americans.
Ghalibaf took to X on Thursday to berate Trump's approach to dealing with Tehran. "'Massive attack comingโฆ wait, never mind, they want to negotiate.' That's theater diplomacy on loop," he wrote.

US economy unexpectedly loses 23,000 jobs in July as hiring and firing slow
...According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics' (BLS) most recent employment situation summary, released Friday, nonfarm payroll employment dropped by 23,000. The unemployment rate fell slightly to 4.1% from 4.2% in June.
Economists had projected an unchanged unemployment rate and 83,000 new jobs for the month, according to The Wall Street Journal.
This decline was seen in financial activity based jobs, such as credit intermediation and insurance providers, which continued to trend downward, losing 14,000 jobs last month after hitting a peak in May 2025...
Not sure why this was "unexpected." Zin, our resident economist, wrote about it several times on the channel. I guess the experts weren't experty enough to give expert advice about their expertise. Expertly.

Washington Post claims "clash" between Trump and Hegseth is a fiction, but to what end?
Neither US President Donald Trump nor US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth are in charge of anything - both demonstrate profound ignorance and incompetence daily.
Both are merely figureheads serving the role of loud distractions and/or scapegoats/excuses.
The US is almost certainly suffering from a well known shortage of munitions, but has settled on an achievable strategy of controlled demolition of West Asia's energy exports as a means of cutting exports to China & the rest of Asia - it must pretend to seek dealing with Iran, create excuses why it cannot, all while in reality constantly degrade West Asian energy exports, and slowly deepen the economic crisis across the rest of Asia.

...If you added Trump and Hegseth's IQs together you'd still be a winter jacket's need short of room temperature - they were never in charge of anything.
Both men are obviously repeating talking points big oil, the arms industry and other special interests tell them - and they sell it to the public or try to distract the public away from it altogether.
The fact corporate interests are driving "Trump's" policy was so obvious even before the 2024 elections, if anyone looked past their rhetoric, they'd have easily predicted the many wars now escalating or unfolding from Ukraine to Iran to a growing standoff with China.
With this in mind, people should be able to look past the dramatic theater performed by these figureheads, no matter how tempting to dive into, and instead attempt to determine what is actually taking place behind this facade.

I wanted to say something about Brian yesterday, but didn't have the time.
I've given him a decent amount of shit lately for various reasons. Some more important than others. I've even posted several posts directly refuting some of his observations. He has his limits. At the same time, so do I.
None of that means I don't respect him and his work, because I do. He's a very important piece of the puzzle and serves as an approachable gateway to awareness. He has done more for that awareness over the years than I probably ever will.
So please, don't mistake my criticism for a lack of respect for his work. There are a few points I've been very consistent at trying to express and one of them has always been that we can appreciate someone's work while, at the same time, disagreeing with certain aspects of it. That's normal. It's how it's supposed to be. Many of you disagree with me about many different things, but that doesn't mean we can't learn from each other.

US seeks next leader of Cuba
The Trump administration is looking for a new Cuban leader who can change Havana's political course, the New York Times reported on Friday, citing current and former US officials.
Since returning to office, US President Donald Trump has tightened the decades old blockade of Cuba, threatening tariffs on countries that supply it with oil and saying he will take the country "one way or another."
The unnamed officials told the NYT that the Trump administration has been searching for a current or former Cuban official who could be persuaded to take over the government. The White House has reportedly asked US intelligence agencies to identify someone in the mold of Delcy Rodriguez, who became Venezuela's acting president after the US kidnapped President Nicolas Maduro in January...

Have Pakistan, Tรผrkiye and Saudi Arabia just launched an "Islamic NATO"?
The military alliance between three Sunni Muslim countries offers a powerful symbolism in a region wracked by conflict.
...The bloc's formation comes amid a volatile security situation in the Middle East, triggered by the US Israeli attacks on Iran. Tehran's retaliation against Gulf monarchies, who have been traditional US allies, has exposed the limitations of the American security umbrella and forced the Gulf Arabs to think of alternative security frameworks.
The pact was signed in Mecca by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif...
Meaning what? An aggressive, interventionist and expansionist terrorist organization? I'm guessing, yes. A Judeo-American empire cuckolding club? Yeah, probably. Shit, I guess they did launch "Islamic NATO." NATO but, like, Islamic. They'll pray as they commit genocide in Yemen.

Turkiye restricts Black Sea traffic as drone attacks on commercial vessels spike
Turkiye has begun restricting commercial ship traffic into the Black Sea amid a surge in Russian and Ukrainian attacks on civilian vessels, Bloomberg reported on 8 August.
Turkiye's Directorate General of Coastal Safety has informed several ships heading to Novorossiysk, an important Russian oil and grain export port, that it is not issuing transit permits at this time and requires more time to review passage applications through the Dardanelles.
The sources told Bloomberg that Turkish authorities had provided no explanation for the move. Some vessels have also reportedly been told that the restriction applies to ships heading to Ukraine.
The report comes after a series of drone attacks targeting Turkish commercial vessels operating in the Black Sea and near Russian ports in recent months...
