Medical students are expected to have the basic professional skills (BPS) and knowledge by the time they graduate medical school. However, due to the pandemic a lot of medical students suffered from learning these important skills. The BPS series will help students learn a set of clinical activities that graduates are expected to perform independently. This is an important opportunity for students to prepare and, as an end goal, improve patient safety skills.
The project is scheduled for the FY: 2021-2022 and will be held on different social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.
As a future physician, it is important to gather important details in the course of our patientโs illness and piece it all together with our knowledge from all our years of medical training to come up with an appropriate diagnosis in order for us to treat and manage our patient in the best way possible.
Iโm sure youโve heard many of our consultants and professors tell you that the patientโs history gives us about 70-80% of our diagnosis. So intently listen to your patients as they tell their story.

Proper technique is important to elicit accurate signs from a patient, which will give us more clues as to the diagnosis of the patient and help us narrow down the diagnostic tests to what is needed.
