Basic Professional Skill Toolkit 1:
Common Diagnostic Tests โ–ถ๏ธ https://bit.ly/APMCSN-BPST-CommonDiagnosticTests

Medical students are expected to have the basic professional skills (BPS) and knowledge by the time they graduate medical school. However, due to the pandemic a lot of medical students suffered from learning these important skills. The BPS series will help students learn a set of clinical activities that graduates are expected to perform independently. This is an important opportunity for students to prepare and, as an end goal, improve patient safety skills.

The project is scheduled for the FY: 2021-2022 and will be held on different social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.

The Philippines is an archipelago made up of over 7100 islands. This brought us different economic benefits such as for trading, tourism, agriculture, and etc. However, this also poses a problem on the accessibility of healthcare especially in the rural setting.

This video will be important in terms of maximizing and becoming more resourceful regarding diagnostic and screening tests especially for places lacking facilities. This will help students to develop their clinical eye and be more cost-effective that will prepare them to become better Filipino physicians.

Please watch out for more releases in the coming months in our YouTube channel! ๐Ÿ”— BPST YouTube Playlist: https://bit.ly/APMCSN-BPST

OFFICER/OFFICE/VOLCORPS-OF-THE-MONTH (DECEMBER 2021)

We are truly inspired by your excellence!

Congratulations to the following:

VolCorps-of-the-month:

RA HYUN PARK (ONFO - Sponsorships)

"Ra takes the initiative to present event primers during meetings with sponsors. Despite the hectic schedule with the Clinical Clerkship, she was able to prepare the day before the scheduled meetings. Always on time, wears proper attire during meetings, and presents herself formally to the sponsors. She deserves to be recognized as Officer VolCorp-of-the-Month. Meeting with CEOs, Senior Marketing Managers, Founders, and/or Presidents of large-scale businesses is definitely not an easy task."

Honorable Mentions:
- JAN CEZZALAINE UY (ONPRO - Partnerships & Collaboration)
- KATHLEEN JHOANNE MARTINEZ (ONPRO - Communications)
- ALDRICH GWENDALE VALDEZ (ORVP MINDANAO - Conventions)
- THEA PEPITO (ONA - Internal Auditing Committee)

Officer-of-the-month:

ARRIANE MENDOZA (ONFO Sponsorships)

"This nomination has honestly been a long time coming, and I can confidently say that Arrianeโ€“together with her sponsorship committeeโ€“has made quite an impact on the Network. "

"In terms of numbers, the sponsorship committee was able to amass around 20 new sponsors just for the 1st semester of this fiscal year. This would not have been possible without Arrianeโ€™s drive and enthusiasm to reach out to different sponsors and her persistence in reminding the RFOs and project heads regarding their deadlines. Furthermore, Arriane is someone who thinks outside the box; she goes beyond her job description and makes sure to utilize non-conventional methods. Rather than stick to the old ways of emailing sponsors, she used the power of different social media platforms and sent simple text messages to reach out to potential sponsors. She is also responsible and steadfast with deadlines and pursuing sponsors despite numerous rejections. Before I end, I would like to end this spiel with an example of Arrianeโ€™s competence and responsible nature. When we met with Topnotch/Platinum at the start of this year, Arriane presented a full-on report of our responsibilities as a partner, and their contact person said, โ€œOut of the 10 years weโ€™ve sponsored this organization, this was the only time we were given a report, and I really appreciate this.โ€ "

"While Iโ€™m sure Arriane already feels the fulfillment in getting sponsors for the Network and contributing to the success of different events, I would greatly appreciate it if her hard work would also be known to and acknowledged by the rest of the student body as well."

Honorable Mentions:
- LOUISE SIONGCO (ORVP NCR-SL Member Relations & Services)
- LEIGH GOROSPE (ORVP MINDANAO Regional Auditor)
- ONAI ABDUL (ORVP MINDANAO Conventions)
- GERSHON BRUL (ONSG Membership)
- DAN SAN ANDRES (ORVP NCR-SL Socio Civic)
- JUVETTE ESTEBAN (ORVP LUZON Regional Secretary General)
- NIC MACAPINLAC (ONPRO Communications)
- JUDE LEONCINI (ONVP Medical Education)
- NIKKI GAW (ORVP VISAYAS Academic Competitions)

Office-of-the-month:

Regional Vice President (Mindanao)

Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge to make APMC-SN better!
